Predictions For.......
Cliv Clav replied to gaylord's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Pedersen's speed away from the tapes is consistantly better than anyone else's. So, my money would be on him to retain his title. Would love to see Adams win the title before he retires, as he has been a top league rider all over the world for 15 years now! Would also love to see AJ learn how to gate! He rarely puts together good starts in league racing let alone in the GP's. When he does gate reasonably well, we have all seen the results; 2 GP victories this year! His shoulder may hinder him and his racing from the back often means he takes a lot of chances that the trappers like Pedersen don't need to. And is he riding the right frame on inconsistent one-off tracks that are liable to rut badly? -

Thanks Liverstam. With most teams being complete or near completion, surely there won't be much change to the team, with the notable exception of Pedersen. -

Why are Hammarby so slow in announcing any confirmed riders for 2008? -
There used to be a plaque to commemorate the Speedway club. It has now been removed. I live a stone's throw from the site, and it's lovely to see a big square grey building with Sainbury's across it, rather than a stadium that provided entertainment & pleasure for the locals(!). There is also a huge Tesco in one direction and a huge Asda in the opposite direction!

Olle's a legend and a very funny guy. Would love a book on his life/career.

Andy Galvin - The Great Galvini! Moggo, obviously!
-
The Mighty MOGGO, Alan Mogridge! Never knew what would happen when Moggo was around, but you could guarantee it would ne entertaining!

Such a tragedy. My thoughts go out to his family & friends. RIP Kenny

Let's not forget the tragic tale of Lukasz Romanek, who sadly took his own life almost a year ago. R.I.P. Lukasz -
Elite League Riders Pairs

Krzysztof Kasprzak has been withdrawn from this meeting as he has been recalled to Poland on that day . Adam Shields will now join Joonas Kylmakorpi in the Hammers line-up. -
Busch looks a good prospect. Also looks like lots of fun at these events looking back through the galleries!

Very sad news. My heartfelt condolences to Toni's family & friends.

Josh Larsen made his return to speedway, following his bad injuries last season, at Industry Hills on July 15. He stormed to the California State Championship and showed Arena fans exactly what they have been missing this season. Link to meeting details below: http://www.speedwaybikes.com/res06_w/ih060715.htm Well done mate!

Leigh Lanham finished in the top 6 at Coventry and Eastbourne too when the British Final/Championship of GB was staged there, I believe, as well as Belle Vue this year.
-
Can someone please post Leigh Lanham's results from the British Final/Championship of GB over the years please? Thanks.
-
Andy Galvin! He would have a lot of stories to tell, many about his serious injuries and many about the off track shenanigans of many riders.
-
Would love to see an artcle on Rob Tilbury. A very colourful character on & off the track. Peter Thorogood would have a lot of stories.
-
It seems this will happen. Due to his illness AJ is apparently still stranded in Poland and hasn't been allowed to board a flight home to Sweden, let alone fly over here. Joonas is next in our averages. So, providing he hasn't other commitments, which may be the case, he should ride in it. If not then Johnno will be next in line.

Thanks mate

Did Rybnik ride? If so, has anyone got the scorers please? Also the scorers from the Gorzow meeting? Thanks.

Thanks for the info Tommy.
