  1. Would love to have Simon back but too far to travel for him.
  2. No problem they will all just pull out of the meeting
  3. Some big changes but have there been enough? Do not think costs have been addressed enough but we may not know yet all the changes the promoters have agreed to. For me the TR rule should have been dumped and I cannot see the promotion and relegation working, it will certainly be interesting to see the make up of the teams in both leagues and how they compare. With very few clubs actually breaking even and even less making a profit the money paid to riders is a big concern when money coming in from attendances does not cover all costs!! Even a successful club like Glasgow ran at a loss, what chance for other clubs, it's a no win situation run like Redcar and break even or be successful and lose money.....
  4. Seven riders with some averages.... to be honest it's all just gobeldygook to me!!
  5. The headings will have to change on the BSF!! Can see an awful lot of rider movement.....
  6. Somerset ...... and Ipswich or Sheffield or possibly Glasgow as an outsider?
  7. Well done Somerset . Proved most people wrong.
  8. I have a ticket will report back on any improvements, might wear my kilt
  9. I would say there are many fans who would attend but for logistics and time off work.
  10. Sad state of affairs running a League meeting long after the title has been won......
  11. Yes I read that!!Cannot see many major changes for next year
  12. Average crowd at a guess....550? So why.... Too much Speedway on Tv, maybe with EL , SGP, Swedish League and free streaming on boxes? A lot of Sports televised live or freely available, Football from the UK and Europe, Rugby, Cricket and Boxing being big draws for the Public. The Comets not having a winning team?, maybe not we always put out a competitive side at the start of the season. Saturday race night, many events and family occasions occur on Saturdays, maybe a different race night be helpful. Politics of the Sport, rules are overly complex and open to lets say...being manipulated. So what could be changed next year if the sport was to survive, possible different race night, a rent paid to the owners dependent on the crowd that turned up, a slick and well presented race format , rider expenses cut. My personal bugbear the TR rule. Transparency from the BSPA. A well thought out fixture list with no long breaks between meetings (weather permitting), maybe a shorter season or get the League campaign completed on time, ie not running matches after the Play offs have started!! Too many riders missing due to doubling up, I know some riders depend on riding in both EL and PL, strange occurrence lately when Eddie Kennet had to ride in the ELRC but had to miss riding for his own team (Rye House) in a vital match!! Just a few thoughts maybe some are not viable ......
  13. Yes another entertaining night of Speedway and a narrow win for the Comets. For Glasgow the main men of Worrall Lawson and Bach did the bulk of the scoring with the race of the night probably from Bach when he went round Mason Campton !! For the Comets it was a good all round team performance and they all seemed to be really up for a fight to get the win , once again my man of the match was Ricky Wells who came up with a win in heat 15 to make sure Comets won on the night. The crowd was similar to previous weeks but bolstered by a large group of Tigers fans who to be fair made the trip despite being already through to the final, well done to them. Once again a few fans in the grandstand thought it funny to boo Richard Lawson, very strange.
  14. Workington promotion have said that lack of money from food and bar sales which goes to the owners has not helped their current situation
  15. Many people though still spend silly money on alcohol cigarettes Sky contracts and mobile phone contract s
