  1. I would be very surprised if Workington did run next year.
  2. Richard Lawson was on Summers bike in his 3rd ride and won it, and he was on Ryan McDonalds bike in his 4th ride when 3rd, then back on his own bike when second in heat 15
  3. Ask Workington Speedway if it could survive without the support of Thomas Armstrong.

Mason was hard on Worral on two occasions but thats racings then it was handbags near the pits when the mechanics got involved, noticed that at Richard Lawson was on Ryan McDonalds bike in ht 13 when Worky got a 5-1. Some good races but many processional to. Good to meet wee George from Glasgow. Oh and it went on for tooooooooooooo long over 2 hrs for a meeting.
  5. I can see what you mean but by not completeing the League fixtures makes British Speedway look even more amateurish, this aside the fixtures should have been completed before the cut off date in the ideal world.

  8. Saturday May 19th 1999 Workington v the Isle of Wight. Programme £1.50 Worky: Stoney, Barry Campbell, Grant Macdonald ,Peter Scully, Brent Werner, Wayne Broadhurst and Darren Groves. IOW: Neville Tatum, Tommy Palmer, Phillip Berge, Scot Swain, Wayne Carter, Danny Bird and Jeremy Barraud. Score 50-43. Stoney top scored with 19+1 from 6 rides! Next week Comets v Newcastle starring David Walsh, Jesper Olsen, Robert Erikson, Paul Gould and Derrol Keats.
  9. Probably not, Worky have about five fixtures to fit in after today, so will be hopeful of not getting any rain offs!
  10. Looked like the final nail in the coffin of Speedway at Workington tonight.
  11. Hate to say it but after tonightit looks highly unlikely the Comets will be back in 2108. Well done Edinburgh, Wells and Erik Riss were superb.

  13. In recent weeks we have received a number of queries regarding the policy on the use of cameras in the stadium. Therefore, the purpose of this communication is to clarify the policy on cameras. Except for mobile phones & small compact cameras used for personal and private use only, no still or video cameras capable of providing zoom or close range photography are permitted at the National Speedway Stadium unless the appropriate media accreditation is in place and permission has been provided by Belle Vue Speedway 2017 Ltd.
