  1. Somerset were very competitive at Belle Vue recently and won the meet but maybe caught the Aces on a off day having said that it was a afternoon meeting and the track dried out very quickly plus the fact that the Belle Vue track is not dissimilar to Somersets. Tungate that day was awesome, I think the Rebels will be ok.... might need one minor change?
  2. I'll just stick with by sports and watch gps and British speedway
  3. Hougaard finished 10th in his qualifier, don't think he will progress to the next round, whilst Bjerre finished third with 12pts, behind winner Timo Lahti (14pts), and Martin Smolinski on 13pts, so yes I think I know what you mean Bjerre will be missing another three Saturday nights, whilst Hougaard won't. Yes thanks , got there early had a pie and a drink too.
  4. Some great racing in a fantastic stadium, a pleasure to watch Speedway in such a modern stadium , if only all tracks were like this!! Tun gate was superb , his races with Cook were worth the admission alone. Well done Somerset.
  5. Fair result in the end, Mason fall was 50/50 at best, well done Redcar in getting the draw.
  6. A few of us coming down for this meet, our first visit to the new Belle Vue track, we have booked tickets on line so would be helpful to know the best place for parking etc. Thanks.
  7. Another stern test for the Comets who take on the bears who are looking a much stronger team than in recent years and just last night beat Newcastle very convincinly. With Wright, Barker and Garrity the bears have a formidable top three so Worky will have to be quick offf the starts.
  8. Saw something on the news but in Polish so have just read about itBest wishes Tomas
  9. So Workington Comets go in this second leg against the Diamonds with a eight point deficit to make up. The Newcastle side have a solid look to them and will pose the Comets plenty of problems, so the lads will need to be on good form..... I can see this one going down to the wire but the Comets just edging it! Will have to miss this one though. Good luck Worky.
  10. Just my personal opinion, i dont like the TR, whatever the outcome.
  11. Workington v Scunthorpe ruined by another TR injustice.
  12. After a good league start against Sheffield last week the Comets are on the hunt for more points against the Scorpions, will it be Love at first sting or a Blackout?
  13. Good win for Worky with all the riders chipping in with points, i did think before the start that Sheffield would give us a stern test but they were not helped by three falls and r/r for Lasse Bjerre. Some good races, especially heat 3 5-1 with Adam Roynon and Ty Proctor beating Kurtz and Bates and heat 13 team ride 5-1 of Cook and Jorgensen. The ref was certainly consistent all night (ht 15 apart) when many riders seem to anticipate the starts but let the race continue.
  14. Weather is good, no chance of any wet stuff, should be a good nights racing going to be tough though against a strong Sheffield side.
  15. Not meant as a criticism of the Star it must be a very arduous task to put together the bumper edition.
