Any way back to last night some good racing even heat one was very good with King on a mission and looking very fast. So another night at Derwent Park where the visitors will be hoping to steal some points and it will prove to be another stern test for the Comets against one of the favourites for this years title. The Witches have put together a very strong outfit with some quality heat leaders which include Danny King, Rory Schlein and Nico Covatti backed up Kyle Newman and Cameron Heeps. After last weeks exiting tussle with the Monarchs the Comets will be up for a good fight against the Ipswich Witches

After Workingtons good win away at Redcar the Comets have potentially one of their toughest home matches of the season against the Monarchs. The Edinburgh side have some good heat leaders in Sam Masters and last years Comets favourite Ricky Wells who can beat the best around Derwent Park, with the Riss brothers providing back up the Monarchs will be looking for at least a point from their visit to Cumbria.

Howe looked very good for his first meeting back, Berwick did well to keep the meeting close until half way, then Worky took control. Things might have been different if Bridger had been there. Well done to Matt Williamson on his top scoring for the Comets with 11 plus two bonus.

The Comets with new signing James Sarjeant go up against the Bandits with out of retirement David Howe in their side. Workington will be looking for a much need win after some close encounters in recent weeks, weather should be ok with only light rain forecast for Saturday morning. Good luck to Adam Roynon in finding a new team place.
