  1. Friday 20th October Glasgow v the Workington Comets at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium Tapes Up 7.30pm
  2. First time for the Torun GP for me and really enjoyed the whole weekend. The town itself is very nice , good bars and fine food which is very cheap to, I found the people to be helpful and friendly too. We had some great seats for the GP , sector S, level 1, it did take a little while for the racing to improve but overall a very enjoyable night. Oh the fireworks were good when the eventually got going!
  3. The Comets are up against the Newcastle Diamonds this Saturday night to complete Workingtons home fixtures. Thomas Jorgensen will be out so it will be r/r for him and probabaly Tom Wooley at no7. Weather forecast at this early stage does not look promising.
  4. Said last night on BT will have a look at the dates.
  5. Been through this many times in the past............................ Presentation, prompt start times, better music, twisted rules, politics in the sport, double up/down/backwards/forwards and return, starting rules, gaps in the fixture list then scrabble to get fixtures run in late sept/Oct, riders missing for many reasons including riding in the Latvian junior u21 but only on a Sunday but if its rained off you can have guest rider plus or minus 9.72224 average. I could go on ...., im sure i have missed something else.
  6. Well done Peterborough on the win too much strength in depth for Worky some good races on a cold night, not helped by many re runs and falls. Thought James Sarjent was hard done by the ref when excluded for being the cause of the crash in ht 2, just hard riding and cannot see how the ref could see the incicdent? Good win for Matt over Harris.
  7. The Comets versus the Panthers, should be some good racing with Harris, Ostergaard and guest Charles Wright visting Derwent Park. According to the Speedway Star Workington will be without Thomas Jorgensen, so maybe rider replacement? Just checked the Comets site, it is r/r and Tom Wooley is the guest reserve.
  8. I would be very surprised if Workington did run next year.
  9. Richard Lawson was on Summers bike in his 3rd ride and won it, and he was on Ryan McDonalds bike in his 4th ride when 3rd, then back on his own bike when second in heat 15
  10. Ask Workington Speedway if it could survive without the support of Thomas Armstrong.
  11. Mason was hard on Worral on two occasions but thats racings then it was handbags near the pits when the mechanics got involved, noticed that at Richard Lawson was on Ryan McDonalds bike in ht 13 when Worky got a 5-1. Some good races but many processional to. Good to meet wee George from Glasgow. Oh and it went on for tooooooooooooo long over 2 hrs for a meeting.
  12. I can see what you mean but by not completeing the League fixtures makes British Speedway look even more amateurish, this aside the fixtures should have been completed before the cut off date in the ideal world.
  13. Plenty of parking just a few hundred yards past the stadium entrance on the left.
