The first meeting of the new season at Derwent Park sees one of the best line ups for an Individual meeting ever held here.

Enjoyed the meeting which had some decent racing, a good crowd and great facilities at Sheffield Speedway. Simon Stead even took time out to presonnally thank our small group of fans for coming down from Cumbria. Good to be part of a sport where fans, promoters and riders are friendly and welcoming.

Just watched the Chris Holder interview and he reports back that the track has improved greatly from last year.

I thought that too, as I said a few months back a year on consolidation for Newcastle.

Only a matter of time, electric mountain bikes and electric moto cross bikes are getting more efficient .

Seems to me is if you cannot pay the riders the club should not be in business.

West coast was fine just a wee few flakes, Carlisle and the lakes were hardest hit.

It says in the Star they are still trying to piece together a team for the start of the new season and have added Danny Phillips to the asset base buying him from Peterborough .

This saga has run longer than the Scot Nicholls story.
