  1. First of all, hope Rasmus is ok. Commiserations to the many travelling Glasgow fans, some of the best fans in Speedway, safe journey home. Wow another nail biter of a meeting, well done to all the lads rode their socks off, man of the match Mason Campton, take a bow. Still in a daze!! Three finals to get through but limited days in October left.. Once again well done the Comets.
  2. The BSPA should answer the questions about the fixture debacle, this year , well other years to but they seem destined to close tracks rather than try and help them , surprisingly it’s their own business they are destroying, couldn’t make it up!
  3. Looking tough for Worky this evening, Glasgow looking stronger than the Duke of Edinburgh .......
  4. Not an ideal situation to run two meetings in a day , this will surely have an impact on traveling fans.
  5. This is assuming that Saturday night at Derwent Park is rained off........but the weather forecast for Workington is rain all day Friday and Saturday .
  6. So this match has been hastily rescheduled for Sunday evening with the first leg taking part at Glasgow at 13:30 pm, the only sensible decision really given the awful weather forecast for Friday and Saturday. I assume the Tigers will still be using Ricky Wells in place of the injured Craig Cook and Workington will be using rider replacement for Dan Bewley. Lets hope for some good racing and may the best team win.
  7. Just shows up the amateur ways of Speedway with all this talk of illegal guests when fans should be looking forward to a good nights racing in the play or finale.
  8. Another great trip to Torun, good weather , friendly people, nice food and the beer! plus the prices of food and drink. Oh and the Speedway was first class too, not so good was the Polish chap dancing and cheering when Tai fell off!
  9. Was it you I photo bombed at Gdansk. I was thinking of coming up for this meeting but the weather looks very bad.
  10. People would just bet from their phones or betting shops and wander back to the pub. The lost art of attending live sport.
  11. Yes its a shame there is no fixture this week when the spirits are high, hopefully we will have a dry October , can still see a double header with Lakeside though.
  12. I am still buzzing too!! Cannot believe we actually pulled that score back from Friday night, well done to all the riders, mechanics and staff. Good move in hindsight to put two good gaters out in heat 15, as much as Richie Worrall tried he could not pass Nicolai and Ty. The two Monarchs fans standing near us were totally dejected when Ricky Wells was rightly excluded from ht 15 but fair play to the Monarchs fans who travelled down to Derwent Park when many thought it was a forgone conclusion that their team would win on aggregate, me included.
  13. I had a dream Worky beat Edinburgh over two legs, then I woke up. Good luck to Edinburgh.
  14. Workington riding for some pride tonight , just any type of win will suffice need to regroup for the next meetings, hope Rene is ok.
  15. Don't put all the Workington fans in the same pot as others , some of us have more tact and diplomacy and decency.
  16. The Comets are up against the Monarchs in this semi final koc 2nd leg match at Derwent Park and hopefully still in the tie if we can keep it reasonably close at Armadale. Jake Allen guests for the injured Dan Bewley.
  17. Woffinden needs 12pts to win it assuming Zmarzlik scores a 21pt max, so realistically 7 or 8 pints would probably be more likely to win. still should see some good racing and a few beers
  18. With no bad weather forecast this weekend the Armadale track should have no issues , can’t really see the Comets getting near the Monarchs on Friday night my prediction 54-36.
  19. I very much doubt your optimism and I’m a glass half full guy.
