  1. SS still a good read and decent value if bought via subscription.
  2. Both home meetings listed on the Comets website too.
  3. So this week Worky go in search of another home win to try and boost their chances of getting that elusive play off place. Dan Bewley is missing from the Comets side as he is riding for Britain in Denmark in the under 21 World Cup. The weather forecast says heavy cloud all day but for no rain.
  4. In the SS and Bspa webpage but provisional
  5. Workington v Lakeside 19:00hrs 25/08/2018 Workington v Redcar 19:30 hrs. 26/08/2018
  6. I,m not saying the Cook situation is right but a similar thing happened at Workington last week Dan Bewley riding in Poland, r/r facility used, then on Sunday two riders riding in Poland no facility granted but luckily it was rained off. This Saturday Dan Bewley missing again riding for Britain against Denmark.
  7. Yes riding for GB against Denmark I think.
  8. Might have to be re arranged if we get any rain offs in the next few weeks.
  9. Somerset deserved a point, Harris and Grazjonek great for Poole, the track not so great........what happened to all the track work over the winter!
  10. Reason given there is no facility is that the riders are not riding for a first division club
  11. Some more explanation of the situation on the Comets Facebook page, though I still cannot see why we are penalised?
  12. See the Workington v Sheffield topic to see what a mess the system is in.
  13. We go to Speedway to hopefully see our own riders if not injured, no offence to Dan and the others who are just trying to make a living and gain experience but it’s the fans and the teams chances of getting silverware that suffer. Hmmm I wonder why people are staying way from meetings.
  14. So this Saturday night the Comets are up against the Sheffield Tigers who have gone through quite a sticky patch at home recently so will be out to claw a few points back if they can. The Comets need to at least win all their home meetings to be in with a chance of the Play offs. Weather for Saturday night keeps changing, currently the rain is due to come in some time on Saturday night, hopefully some time after 9:00 pm!!
  15. Was that not the Koc. As for the Shield who knows?
  16. Yes rain forecast for Friday and Saturday but still to early to predict
  17. Will all the Speedway fixtures be completed by September 9th to meet the Play off criteria.
  18. The decision could have gone either way......hmmm baffling As many others have said a great nights racing , I thought the crowd level was ok especially for a late start and running on an off night and with no continuity of the fixtures. Regarding the fixtures....it was always going to happen if we are to fit all the home matches in but running two home meetings on the same weekend in late August is not good for the fans or the promotion, well done the BSPA. Hopefully the weather will be kind or it could see us missing out in the play offs.
  19. After many spare weekends of no racing at Derwent Park, the news tonight is we may have to run meetings on Saturday and Sunday of the same weekend to complete the home fixtures.
  20. Guest who knows , NL rider who knows, averages it’s all numbers and magic.....ouch I sound like Jenga
  21. Workington try again to kick start their season......will not mention the W word !! Ok , the Comets are up against a fairly strong Scunthorpe side which will probably see r/r or a guest for Rene Bach recently injured in Poland , not sure yet if Ty Proctor is fully fit after a crash at Poole on Wednesday.
