  1. Not looking good for Workington to fulfill their home fixture with Lakeside before the cut off date. A certain late promoter would not have stood for this fixture debacle.
  2. Good meeting , well done to both sides for providing some great racing. For Edinburgh Pickering was the Star for me , never giving up, for the Comets Razze4 wa# the star of the show .
  3. My second visit ever to Armadale...………. so were Workington bad or Edinburgh that good, both I think. Plus points, Klindt managed a win in heat 15. Bad points, I still don't like the track, £18.50 for an adult, £3.00 for a programme, so two adults, programme plus drinks raffle ticket £48.00, oh and £18.00 for bus from city centre. Sour grapes, ouch. Cant see me going back for many years, even some Monarchs fans on the bus called it a Dump. Edinburgh looking good for the League this year.
  4. So after last weeks curtailment against Lakeside and the rain off against Redcar Workington go in search of League points against the mighty Monarchs of Edinburgh. I will be happy with all riders finishing the meeting safely, good weather , oh and a 10pt win for the Comets. Get well soon Dan.
  5. It may be to avoid hard luck stories to previous champions who may have been injured during the series, hey but Speedway is full of hard luck stories. I would rather it was top eight or ten then qualifiers, if you are good enough in a challenge meeting then why not give riders a chance to prove themselves .
  6. Well weather permitting Workington Comets try to get another home meeting completed to add to their points tally against the Redcar Bears. My prediction Weather 60 Comets 30.
  7. The year of the Cat, yes a good point gained at Redcar last night could prove vital at the cut off date.
  8. So this Saturday night Lakeside come to town and on paper look to be one of the strongest sides in the League. Lining up for them is former Comet and Workington favourite Richard Lawson, Nick Morris and Adam Ellis, a formidable trio. Weather for Saturday night looks good, so hopefully we can win all the points on offer and with the cut off date being extended we might still just get all our League fixtures completed.
  9. BBC weather app says rain all day in Workington, still early to predict. At least the dead line for the play offs have been extended to September the 16th.
  10. Is that where the rumour of extending the cut off date come from?
  11. Crowd was about average for Workington this year, usually get a decent increase when Glasgow are in town.
  12. Ok thanks , I did not think it was to be used after heat 12
  13. What are the rules regarding Tactical substitute , I looked on the BSPA site but the rules were for TR from 2016!!
  14. All riders last night showed great commitment , so another win and all the points, Ipswich were a bit hit and miss the star for them surprisingly was Heeps. Schlein took a nasty tumble on bends three and four, hope will be ok. The meeting was not helped by delays some unavoidable by crashes, would have liked to have watched the second half lads but it was getting late.
  15. Weather still looking ok, cloudy but no rain forecast, the track had a good natural water yesterday so will hopefully provide some good racing.
  16. Ive never swung my leg over a Speedway bike , Rory has had some terrible injuries...…..Keyboard warriors.
