So this match has been hastily rescheduled for Sunday evening with the first leg taking part at Glasgow at 13:30 pm, the only sensible decision really given the awful weather forecast for Friday and Saturday. I assume the Tigers will still be using Ricky Wells in place of the injured Craig Cook and Workington will be using rider replacement for Dan Bewley. Lets hope for some good racing and may the best team win.

Another great trip to Torun, good weather , friendly people, nice food and the beer! plus the prices of food and drink. Oh and the Speedway was first class too, not so good was the Polish chap dancing and cheering when Tai fell off!

People would just bet from their phones or betting shops and wander back to the pub. The lost art of attending live sport.

Yes its a shame there is no fixture this week when the spirits are high, hopefully we will have a dry October , can still see a double header with Lakeside though. -

I am still buzzing too!! Cannot believe we actually pulled that score back from Friday night, well done to all the riders, mechanics and staff. Good move in hindsight to put two good gaters out in heat 15, as much as Richie Worrall tried he could not pass Nicolai and Ty. The two Monarchs fans standing near us were totally dejected when Ricky Wells was rightly excluded from ht 15 but fair play to the Monarchs fans who travelled down to Derwent Park when many thought it was a forgone conclusion that their team would win on aggregate, me included. -

Woffinden needs 12pts to win it assuming Zmarzlik scores a 21pt max, so realistically 7 or 8 pints would probably be more likely to win. still should see some good racing and a few beers

I very much doubt your optimism and I’m a glass half full guy.

I heard a rumour the playoffs are to be held in March 2019 when Dan Bewley is fit. Siousie.

Exactly Paulco, imagine other sports doing that, oh just decide between yourselves when you want the match to go ahead...………...

I am surprised we have survived for this long, the death knell has been ringing for about 2 years now! The theory of a £10.00 sport is all very well and many would like it to be but many factors come in to the equation for it to be viable, the main ones being rent of the stadium, attendances and any club sponsorship. Having crowds of 300/500 blow this out of the water.

I tend not to get involved in the pits gossip, he said that , he had a spat talk, all hearsay and un truths most of the time. Any way regarding the Scunthorpe meeting it was more entertaining than the Newcastle meeting on Friday, standout riders being Ben Barker and Jake Allen , the Scorpions kept it close for the first seven heats before Campton and Jensen got a 5-1 in heat 8 and slowly built up a big lead.. I thought it would be a much closer contest but Scunthorpe turned out to be a virtual 2 man team though they were not helped by falls from Auty and Garrity later in the meeting. Kyle Bickley is slowly getting there, showing a greater determination especially in the fist and second bends of the first lap.
