  1. Agree well done Charles, would probably have got one or two more points if the ref had not made a big error.
  2. So why do fans go to Cardiff: Weekend away. Social occasion , meet up with other fans , friends family. Location of stadium, bars , hotels, restaurants all in close proximity . Some Speedway that will definitely not be rained off. Fan-zone. Atmosphere in stadium. Bad points: Average/poor racing in general. Cost of Hotels. Location for some British northern based fans.
  3. I have been many times to Cardiff but give it a miss now and again to regain the enthusiasm or to travel to overseas GPs.
  4. NSS cannot do catering for Son so cannot see them pulling it off for a GP, Warsaw was good this year but racing was not much better than Cardiff.
  5. Cardiff has always been about the occasion rather than racing, came over ok tonight on tv, better than some previous GPS.
  6. Don’t know who was at fault but it was a little un professional when Madsen did not turn up to take his pick in practice .
  7. Ipswich practising at Poole.....dry motocross track...Richard Lawson on a warning..
  8. Some great racing last night, track staff did a great job mid meetings to prepare the track.
  9. Just off topic, GR 500/speedway bike just been on American pickers, they bought it for $1800 , wonder what the history of that bike is.
  10. Still advertising in Speedway Star going via Travel plus tours.
  11. Just been on to BT via chat room said Speedway is on tomorrow at 8pm....... GP highlights
  12. Crazy situation with BT , scheduled for tonight and I,m sure it was on the Speedway Star listings as a televised event in last weeks edition but not on listings tonight
  13. Just watched YouTube of final plenty of air horns on display.
  14. Best wishes to Martin Smolinski for a speedy recovery, the guy is in a bad way but still tried his best to score points.
  15. I visited Belle vue recently and there is a full page in the programme of what is allowed at the meeting mostly to do with Health and safety but a slight overkill on no food or drink allowed in the stadium. This I presume even means water, so buy your water at the bar for £1.90 a bottle. The stadium is a complete no smoking area including e cigarettes , which is nice. Cannot see a ban on air horns but trumpets, vuvuzelas, flags, scooters, frisbees , flares skateboards, etc etc are not allowed.
