  1. Come on guys keep up the banter and we might just beat the Kings Lynn topic in the PL section, 100+ pages and counting. Money..................Pink Floyd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hkjkTe5kZE
  2. 6,000 spectators acording to the Daily Mail and Pedersen took the £60k prize. Do not get me wrong i was one of the few non Poole fans applauding the Poole promotion for putting on this meet, at the start of this topic and would have gone but its about a 9-10 hour drive from Worky!!
  3. I think it would only be fantastic if he shared the money after the race or gave some away to charity, before the race well thats just edging you bets. The final race just ended up winning for the prestige, well that is if it,s true the money was shared.......
  4. All for good sportsmanship and fairness but this is Speedway racing............. has Nicki gone soft!! Gimme the Prize, all or nothing.
  5. Unbelievable, seems a bit odd, what about racing for the big pot or is this a wind up!
  6. May be one day in the distant future, 2040, but by then Speedway will be banned for being too dangerous/dirty, anyway i,m sure that Holta chap is Polish!
  7. Have i missed something, was the meeting called off? Thought it was today!
  8. Cannot believe some of the negative views on this topic, must be jealosy. Poole Speedway promote a great meeting with a world class field and a £60,000.00 Prize for the winner and most of the other EL supporters are slagging it off . If i lived in the Poole area i would definitley be there, good luck to the Poole promoters for putting on such a meeting. Even SS made some valid points!
  9. True, would have liked to have been there but work comitments and Swindon on a Sunday night, says it all, a long way from Worky.
  10. James Wright, PLRC winner....................Woooooooooooow. Well done.
  11. According to the SS pre meeting entertainment to be Right said Fred.................... apparently very big in Germany.
  12. Yes, all were on 500, s there were however one or two 250 cc races. Tony Mole did stress in the programme notes that we and BSPA must " concentrate on developing British talent by means of 80cc or 100cc powered machines and then progress to 250 cc engines before the riders are mounted on the 500 cc engines used in conventional speedway."
  13. Yes it is a small track, 165 metres and the races were over four laps.
  14. Report in the local paper, no mention of the injured rider, hope he is well. Can only imagine what it feels like for a parent to have a son /Daughter racing speedway. There were some nasty accidents on Sunday but most seemed to have got away without any major injuries. Big respect to all the competitors at the meeting, they are very tough and brave. http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/sport/viewart....aspx?id=546123
  15. Thats right Jason did have two wins and looks a good prospect for such a young lad and in one race was lying second but gave it a big handful to try and go up the inside but there was no room and took the other rider off. There is no denying his potential but just had a rush of blood in the heat of the race! There seemed to be some confusion during the match when mechanics/dads? tried to take over when an exclusion light came on and the guys were put back on 2 mins, all good fun! There also seemed to be some confusion during the working out of the Qualifiers for the Semis and Quarter finals but a certain team manager was having none of it.
  16. Qualifing points : R Franklin 8 J Sarjeant 11 J Butler 1 S Meakins 3 D Greenwood 8 J Garrity 6 S Hazelden 4 M Jowett 4 K Norton 4 D Lamb 8 C Hoskins 4 J Hirst 7 Semi Final 1st Franklin 2nd Hazelden 3rd Hirst 4th Lamb Final 1st Sarjeant 2nd Greenwood 3rd Franklin 4th Hazelden fxc. Quite a good meeting but marred by a few nasty falls. Fastest time of the British under 15 Championship. Heat 3 in 47.4 won by Jason Garrity.
  17. Weather very wet at the moment , forecast for brighter weather this afternoon.
  18. Latest news on the line up:Simon Stead, Kevin Doolan, David Howe, Tomas Topinka, Kaj Laukkanen, Chris Kerr, Joesef Franc and the Comets riders.
  19. Yes no Brits in the Challenge and Bomber and Scottie on the knife edge to qualify for next years GP............. ..... is this the shape of things to come!
  20. I must have been watching another GP last night then, unless you are trying to be sarcastic?
  21. Tomasz Gollob,WOW................ Superb, what a guy, what a final Most entertaining rider in Speeedway. Tomahawk Ojej! , klasyfikować u pewien rower !
