Great racing tonight in the WTC, superb racing from Danny King.

Interesting question.......... Really enjoyed my first visit to the OTA for the PL Pairs. We arrived very early to miss the worst of the notorious traffic problems, so parked up in the field near the entrance and enjoyed a pre meeting drink. Entered the stadium about 16:45 and took our place on the second bend grass banking which was soon to be filled by noisy but friendly Redcar fans (Drac and crew in fancy dress). As we had a few hours to kill we had to take advantage of the great bar on the first bend especially on such a glorious evening in perfect surroundings for a speedway event (nice pint of Guiness). The bonus of the event for me was being able to wander around the pits pre meeting to take photo,s and take in the pre meet preperations for the riders and mechanics, is it like this at every meeting at Somerset? So on to the racing which was very enjoyable, especically the 7-2 over Redcar which silenced the noisy Bears fans! Well done to the Brummies who won when it mattered most at the business end of the meeting.

Maybe Kevin got confused with all the re runs and is very busy .................. un like some keyboard jockey's.

Nice top up to the eight already consumed outside............. Personally i never saw any trouble inside or outside of the stadium, never saw any Police either!! Cannot see the enjoyment of getting plastered only to miss the racing, i had 3 before and a couple after the meeting.

I think you are wrong there Snyper, Stuart Wilson is always impartial when refereeing at Worky. The Newport Management called the Worky track bad on their last visit.

Maybe my eyes were Blue and White tinted or full of Dust............ Anyhoo.......... maybe i was a bit harsh about the Newport meeting, it was difficult weather condtions to contend with but the Newport meetings are always held in the afternoon? The meeting was dragged out though and not helped my so many falls and when so many fans called in to Newport looking for a slick (!) presentation, its no wonder so many left disgruntled. The majority of fans called in to Newport after Cardiff and faced a long journey home, so were not happy to wait around for 3 and a half hours for the meeting to be completed. Best of luck to the Newport managment on a good little set up.

Just got back from Newport...........track was awful , meeting dragged on for far too long, many fans left early...............Kevin Doolan got up off the track 3 times !! Kev wins the final.

Weather forecast does not look good for Friday evening..................
