Not just because i,m a Worky fan but Daniel Nermark rode to his potential. Do not forget Wolverhampton did want to sign him at the start of this season and his current PL average is around 10.67. -

Yes, all were on 500, s there were however one or two 250 cc races. Tony Mole did stress in the programme notes that we and BSPA must " concentrate on developing British talent by means of 80cc or 100cc powered machines and then progress to 250 cc engines before the riders are mounted on the 500 cc engines used in conventional speedway." -

Report in the local paper, no mention of the injured rider, hope he is well. Can only imagine what it feels like for a parent to have a son /Daughter racing speedway. There were some nasty accidents on Sunday but most seemed to have got away without any major injuries. Big respect to all the competitors at the meeting, they are very tough and brave. http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/sport/viewart....aspx?id=546123 -

Thats right Jason did have two wins and looks a good prospect for such a young lad and in one race was lying second but gave it a big handful to try and go up the inside but there was no room and took the other rider off. There is no denying his potential but just had a rush of blood in the heat of the race! There seemed to be some confusion during the match when mechanics/dads? tried to take over when an exclusion light came on and the guys were put back on 2 mins, all good fun! There also seemed to be some confusion during the working out of the Qualifiers for the Semis and Quarter finals but a certain team manager was having none of it. -

Whatever, if they are not good enough to go in the team why name them at resereve anyway, 6 rides, swings and roundabouts if all teams can do it all well and good. If the reserve rider replaces an off form rider and gets injured in the meeting back to square one.
-
Thanks for the video clips Mateusz, what a great atmosphere. Listened to the C & W radio broadcast tonight on the web, some interesting views from referee Tony Steele saying that "I almost expected Poland to use the reserve before the meeting started and he was a reserve after all and maybe the rules could allow the teams in the future to use their reserves up to 6 times in the meeting". He also mentioned in event two when i think the russian rider was excluded and the heat had to be re run, so the Swedes used their Joker which is perfectly legal. Also the programmed featured Stuart Robson who seemed to be progressing well from his terible crash, all the best Robbo. Quite a good programme with some funny and informative views. http://www.bbc.co.uk/coventry/content/arti...p_feature.shtml Follow the link for a listen.

Watched the SWC final again last night, Sam Ermolenko made a comment saying "The Poles have spent the last two days tuning their engines"..............

Yes i know the rule but when has Speedway rules ever made sense, Tack ride, guests, R/R, Boxall and Armstrong reserves all season oh no you are getting to good better change the rules etc, etc. If the Brits did not win then the Poles were always going to get my backing, rather them than the Dangerous Danes or Whinging Aussies.
