Dilemma , most riders have got used to riding in at least two Leagues in the UK and other Leagues across Europe to make Speedway pay, even the riders who are riding solely in the UK are used to riding in two Leagues plus getting guest payments, some have jobs but will work around Speedway when not riding.
At that this moment looking like two leagues only , bad news for Workington and a few others with so many pulling out for different reasons but not enough teams to make the NDL work.
Possibly Birmingham and Oxford moving up to make that League remotely viable.
Some good racing this afternoon, Connor Bailey was superb , heat 15 was fantastic , agree Senna could be a good addition next year if the League set up is similar next year.
Thanks to all the lads who put on the Comets bib this season , a great comeback year.
Met office forecast for tomorrow in Workington is dry with a brief shower at 11:00 am , I suppose it depends on what damage has been done in the past few days.
Okay the track was very rough but just because some riders handled it better than others is no excuse for a bad track, I accept that the weather has had a lot to do with track conditions but for a grand final leg it does not sit well.
I agree with much of what Robert Lambert said in his interview but maybe he should have been a bit more diplomatic.
Also some of the early referees decisions were a bit dodgy , it’s all in Ipswich hands now to keep it close at Sheffield .
Bogged down, its like wading through treacle, suppose this is what goes on in most planning applications.....er apart from when the local council have their way.
Hopefully Connor Bailey will score well tonight he was fast at Glasgow on Saturday passing Tarasenko in his first race.
Hope Belle vue keep it close and fight till the end , war of attrition this time of year with multiple fixtures, injuries and rider fatigue.
Nothing against the posters but when ever i read "Rule 1.9.004 guest assessed average under 4.9988 if in a KOC cup meeting but not a League meeting......"
I scroll past.
