  1. Dissapointed to lose tonight but all the lads tried their best, we can only get better, keep up the good work Comets riders. Oh Bears fans only woke up after heat 15!
  2. Not a bad meeting on another cold night at Derwent Park, the score was kept close until ht 6 where Tero and Richard got a 5-1 over Kus and Greenwood (Kus came in last after a poor gate!). A good all round team performance for the Comets, Chris Mills got five points and would have probaly been seven if not for a chain coming off in ht 4. Ride of the night came from Rusty Harrison in ht 12 when he passed Summers (ef) on turn 3 and 4 then went after Dyer and passed him on the backstraight on the last lap. Dyer was the star rider for the Bears and will not be in the reserve birth long if he can carry on this form.
  3. Workington Comets meet the Redcar Bears at Derwent Park in this League Cup encounter and the Bears will hope to improve on there recent home defeat by the Newcastle Diamonds. The Comets will have new recruit in Chris Mills in for Mason Camton who has been refused a visa entry in to the UK. Hopefully Workington will track a full team with Tero Aarnio returning from injury having missed the away defeat at Newcastle. Weather...............it will probably be COLD.
  4. SCB why dont you stick to what you know best................
  5. Bitterly cold night, some slow times , the track was a bit rough in parts early on and caught a few of the riders out, meeting dragged on for far too long hopefully future meets can be slicker and this was just a one off. Star rider of the night was probably Stuart Robson but even he was passed in a heat by Rusty and Kyle, hope Tero is ok after a nasty fall.
  6. http://www.thescotti...r-starters.html Great photo.
  7. No rain offs this year, just the next ice age
  8. Really bad luck for the lad, get well soon Andrew.
  9. Agree, unfortunate for Niels but those are the rules. With the Jason Bunyan incident it did seem as though he was hard done by but the camrea shots did not show the whole incident so the jury is still out.
  10. Well done SS, another great Season Preview edition.
  11. Only saw him once when he came to Workington in a Four team tournament with Hull, wandered in the pits after the meet and watched him tinker with his bike, only in Speedway. Best wishes Ivan.
  12. I,m sure it will be live on BBC 1 on Saturday nights, who needs Strictly and the Lotto show.
  13. Its was much simpler in the 1970's with only three channels to choose from. If it wasnt for the Speedway on Sky i doubt wether i would have a Sky package at all, probaly just do with the freesat/freeview option...with the Sky package i usually waste my time watching crappy repeats on Dave!!
