Good to see a post from Halifax tiger , expected that score from Edinburgh last night probably not many Comets fans travelled up North..... The Monarchs looking strong favourites for the League......but things can change in the play offs!!

Not sure if Simon Lambert is riding, crashed in ht 14 at Redcar after a superb display, well done Simon. Might be one or two Comets fans going......

Well done Worky all the lads give it their all tonight and were bitterly dissapointed to lose, great support from the Comets fans, get well soon Luke Crang who crashed in ht one and left Worky with only five riders. Good win however for the Bears, must be a good feeling for their fans having been so far behind to come back and win.

Well done Peterborough who consistently outgated the Comets last night with some especially good displays from Barret and Blackbird. The only controversial deciscion was when Campton was excluded for unfair riding when the Panthers rider Joe Jacobs crashed, from where i stood it looked like Campton was in front and Jacobs went for a gap that was not there.....but the ref calledit the other way.. Hope the Comets can bounce back on Thursday and bring some points back from Redcar.

Didnt go this year but watched it on the tv and enjoyed it even if the racing was not that good but as someone pointed out in another post its not all about passing! The crowd seemed to be up on previous years but it can be decieving watching on the tv, the whole show did look good though. A big well done to Greg for winning the GP, how the guy can still be so enthusiastic and competitive at his age is a tribute to him. May have to go back next year............. Stockholm for me in September

I know a few from Worky who just read the forum and do not post, usually have a good laugh at the cr*p posted.

Speedway news on Border TV tonight, news of Berwicks draw at Sheffield with clip of racing and interview with Ian Rae, Workington take on Plymouth on Saturday with a clip from last year and one from two years ago!!

Enjoyed it , good camera work and production, think he will regret having the tattoos later in life but its his choice.

Wow what a meeting...the Comets were staring at a big defeat and going into the last few heats 8pts down things were looking dire but what a comeback!! A big well done to all the Comets and guests, who would have thought Lambo and Jorgensen would get two 5-1s in the last few heats and then a massive 5-1 in heat 15 from Josh and Rene. I did think Rene would be out of the match when he had a big crash but he got back on the bike after some medical attention and gave it a go....then fell again in ht 13!! when trying for 2nd place. Ipswich were good value in the first two thirds of the match but fell away in the last few heats when they should really have put the meeting to bed but full credit to Worky for a great fighting display.

Er....mmm strange comment?

Good win for Worky against a fairly poor Redcar side for whom only Lawson and Summers stood out although Skidmore and Wilko had their moments. Richard Lawson was really on fire and scored an untroubled 18pt paid maximum and the track record for good measure! For the Comets it was a team performance where no one rider proved consistent but all chipped in with points, big well done to Simon Lambert with 6+2 from four rides. Guest for the Comets stuart Robson has had better days and only scored 5 from four rides...... A big test for the Comets comes in two weeks time when Edinburgh are the visitors and with Josh still out injured the Comets will need a good guest in his place.....is Richard Lawson free....

Well with the weather looking better for this weekend some Speedway looks on the cards at Derwent Park. The Comets take on the Redcar Bears in a PL meeting which sees the return of Workington favourite (Comet on loan!!) Richard Lawson and new Comets recruit Simon Lambert. Should be a good one, best of luck to Simon on his Derwent Park debut in 2014 for the Comets.

Great win for Berwick, and well deserved fast out of the gate and fast on the track, star for them again the wee reserve steen Jensen. Cannot see us getting anything at Berwick tommorrow....but... I heard a rumour Worky were going to drop two middle order riders and sign an Elite League rider We believe .

The Comets take on the old enemy the Berwick Bandits in this PL match, Worky will be hoping to carry on where they left off at Glasgow last Sunday and take all the League points.

Great Speedway meet, passing galore, can we have more please!!

Had a good trip to Glasgow, freindly fans, few bottles of Lech and a Comets win, always enjoy the trips to Ashfield oh and took a few photies as well.

The Comets take on the Sheffield Tigers in a PL match and will hope to bounce back from the defeat at Somerset on Friday. Weather permitting hope to see some Speedway...............rain forecast for today and tomorrow though.
