  1. Not a bad meeting but Worky after making half decent starts were picked off by the Tigers and apart from the 8-1 to the Comets would have been in for a bigger defeat! Kyle looked to be struggling big time to get round the track and i had hoped for better after his swashbuckling rides on Saturday night. Josh and Ricky rode well for the Comets and although Rene tried hard and came down hard going for a gap that was rapidly getting smaller! Och well nice day in the sun good company, few beers and a few photo,s
  2. A tough meet , the second match of another double header at Derwent Park........its going to be emotional!...
  3. Hopefully Workington can gain revenge over the Tigers after the recent home defeat!
  4. Start of the season meetings rained off for rider safety, end of the season.....oh carry on we need to complete the fixture.
  5. My comment about fans returning to tracks was open ended i know someone who complained about a promotion regarding monies being repaid after a rain off fell on deaf ears after many e mails to the promoters and the BSPA, even went to the trading standards who were next to useless.........finally gave up and is very dissillusioned with the sport in general. The person in question has been attending many tracks and GP,s all over the country and introduced me to the sport thirty five years ago.
  6. Cannot see Workington gatting any points today, surely Birks and Klindt will score more than the two points from last night at Worky, only hope is that Jacobs and Lambo score a bagful of points but Scorpions have Howe at reserve too.
  7. Scunthopre were a much better team than the earlier Rye match but even they had Klindt and Birks a little off form...Auty was very good , as for the booing Speedway fans have long memories. A very long night of Speedway, these double headers are not ideal but we are where we are! Well done again to Joe Jacobs, a great wee rider.
  8. Agree with this point Spin King, ithink some fans have got mixed up and think they are going to a funeral.
  9. Good luck with your claim but dont hold out much hope, same with rain off meets in the UK , fans fobbed off and ignored....yeah but we will always return....
  10. Workington away at Plymouth on Friday then a double header on Saturday then an afternoon fixture at Scunthorpe on Sunday... a tortuous weekend for man and machine.....not an ideal situation
  11. Double headers at Workington for the next three weekends, see official site.
  12. As someone asked earlier are there any tests done in domestic Speedway?
  13. I have travelled all over the world, sometimes i like having a hand to hold.
  14. A shortened season April to September, concentrating on the League meetings from the start. Prompt start times and meetings run as efficiently as possible. A reduction in doubling up riders if possible, limited to one or two per team. No Tactical ride rule. Fans being robbed of their money by being admitted to a ground then told the meeting is off due to the track being un fit....surely illegal. An easy one, some decent music being played, not just a few old 45,s found in a box. Will any of this happen next year.......................no.
  15. Glasgoow were very good. Wolbert, Rusty (sublime), Pijper,Bunyan (big points) Lykke, all rode very well and Tero arrived late and got a point, best team won get over it.
  16. I enjoyed that , some good racing, well done to the Tigers, Rusty was class ...a masterclass of riding For Worky Joe Jacobs was man of the match a good signing. A good win for Paulco and the Tiggers fans safe journey home. Oh the play offs ended weeks ago for the Comets.. so dont be dissiappointed tonight
  17. Did not think Worky would win this but thought it mght have been a bit closer............
  18. Sorry meant to start thread yesterday, weather looks good for tomorrow night, Tero will be in the Glasgow line up along with his former Comets team mate Rusty. For the Comets it will be the home debut for former Glasgow rider Joe Jacobs....Glasgow to push Worky for a point tomorrow night. See you there Paul.
  19. Not condoning Ward in the slightest but probabaly happens quite a lot in all Leagues.
