  1. Well done Mr Greg Hancock, like a fine wine keeps getting better with age. Terrible decision to exclude Nicki in my humble opinion.
  2. Can Worky pull back 7pts to beat the Bandits on aggregate.....Sunny and warm here in West Cumbria.
  3. A easy win for Poole , then again most people thought Swindon would beat Coventry easily!
  4. Too far for me, any more than 2 hrs on a plane these days and i have had enough.
  5. Both home wins, Berwick win on aggregate. The year started off well at Worky but have become a bit dissulisioned (sp) with the sport to be honest.
  6. My first GP abroad in Stockholm and really enjoyed the weekend, ok the racing was not that good but i was inmpressed with the Freinds arena, no security searches ( ) clean, plenty of bars in the stadium and the track held up well. I estimated a crowd of 15-20k so the official figure of 16k would be about right. Six pounds for a bottle of Falcon beer in the Arena was not too bad but later got a ready poured beer that was foul!! Stockholm was a lovely city to explore and would really have liked more time to look around but there you go.
  7. Heavy rain forecast for today and tomorrow morning ....hope it does not spoil the meeting again!!
  8. Maybe riders just contracted to ride for club meetings in this country , doesnt seem to affect the Fours or Pairs as much though, maybe busier time at this end of the season.
  9. More bad news for Kyle Howarth and Workington, looks like Kyle will be out for the rest of the season after the crash at Coventry on Monday night, get well soon Kyle.
  10. Now i know you truly are Nutz Somerset or Dukes of Edinburgh, did think Scunny but the go and get hammered at Rye House ("we are not afraid of anyone"), maybe they are saving themselves for the Play offs. Cant see Worky getting past the 1st leg .
  11. Well done AJ, good to see him do well again. Some great racing and in the end not too bad a result as far as Greg is concerned, seems like Nikki missed out big time to really stamp his authority on a claim for the GP title.
  12. A lot closer in this meet, again Stead was great and was well backed up by Wolbert and Poole not forgeting Lanham who seemed to be a different rider from the first meet. Thought the track stood up very well and was in great condition all evening, well done to all the track staff Good to see some Tigers fans at Derwent Park...thought they might have been put off after the last abandonment! So we qualify for the Play offs.....unless we improve our away performances i fear the worst...
  13. Some good racing in this match, especially Joe Jacobs pass to go from last to second for a Worky 5-1..
  14. Comets v Tigers 2................. another double header , the girlfriend has given up Speedway for this weekend two double headers have taken their toll..........its a long slog...
  15. Comets take on the Sheffield Tigers in the first of two meets which are must wins if the Comets are to qualify for the Play offs.
  16. Good luck to the new Belle Vue stadium but if radical changes are not made soon what kind of League will there be in 2016?
  17. Riders confirmed so far, Peter Kildemand, Richard Lawson, Adam Roynon, Aaron Summers , Theo Pijper and Ricky Wells.
  18. Nothing official yet. As someone has pointed out fixtures have not been helped by the doubling up riders, riders in teams on the continent, weather , other circumstances ( )... Not the best of years for the Comets with injuries, no continuity in fixtures, the weather......hopefully we will be back next year... Oh a fairly sensible post.
  19. Well the obvious answer is to run the season from February to November and extend the Play off teams to eight but will the BSPA listen to the fans....we will see next year.
