  1. Worst line up ever what we need are some super star riders I suggest we invite some GP riders like Lindgren , Doyle and Zmarzlik that should spice things up.
  2. Another tough meeting this Saturday afternoon for the Comets against a Bears side boasting a strong top four of Wright, Riss, King and Edwards. The Comets will need to be on top form to beat the Redcar side who are one of the favorites this season to make the top four play offs. The weather is still looking good for this weekend so hopefully some Redcar fans will make the journey over from the East to watch this meeting.
  3. Well done to OXO , Poole will still be there at top end of the table at the end the season if they stay clear of injuries
  4. Away fans down probably due to rising costs of fuel and general living costs
  5. I would have thought a 3pm start for away fans would be ideal time of day for the Speedway, there may be some who work on Saturday afternoon but at least most away fans in the North/Scotland will be home at a reasonable hour. The day of racing will always be contentious and the promotion cannot please everyone , some like Saturday others may prefer Sunday afternoon racing and whilst there are no floodlights in place the only options are afternoon racing.
  6. Redcar win , by how many who knows Batch usually goes well there but most of the team are lacking race fitness , hopefully the lads can give a good account of themselves and put up a fight . Er….52:38
  7. Quite a few riders have had track time (Tate Antti and Fraser ) but not racing at Workington . Jye had a guest booking at Berwick last week and did quite well
  8. The Workington Comets season gets underway this Saturday afternoon at the GT Tyres Arena when the team face Scunthorpe . The Scunthorpe side sees the return of former Comets Simon Lambert and Luke Harrison and should provide some tough opposition . The Comets are lacking track time with some riders yet to race competitively so will be eager to get a slide on in anger.
  9. Penalty shootout for KOc competitions though
  10. Penalty shootout for KOc competitions though
  11. If cookie and kildemand reach top form Berwick could be top four at the end of the season .
  12. Just arrived with 7 other letters….
  13. Still waiting for my copy , so bought another one from Smiths on Friday knowing it would probably be late…
  14. I never used to mind going abroad but all the hassle and travelling to airports when flying puts me off irrespective of the costs .
  15. Great plenty of room for me and three others with me Usually have you on ignore but your point is greatly accepted.
  16. Its a bit more to pay than I was expecting but I will be paying it if I can get a seat, will not pay that for standing though. Works out at £107.50 for one day, I paid £85.00 for Cardiff about three years ago so with rising costs and a much smaller crowd than Cardiff its to be expected to a certain extent. This is offset by getting a cheap hotel deal so works a bit better.
  17. Great crowd and at £28 for seating I thought it was good value considering the riders on show . The NSS needs to improve some things ie the entrance to the grandstand with only two turnstiles open , long queues for food and drink ( we gave up because we would miss the racing ) also the PA is pretty poor where we were sitting (not unusual and some stadiums ) Having said that the whole show was slick and well presented . The racing was processional for the first few heats or so but soon got going in the latter part of the meeting . Well done Brady Kurtz who rode the wheels off the bike !! Shiny … Oh and it was bloody cold 🥶
