  1. Afraid these changes will come to late for many clubs.
  2. There must be other tracks in the Championship struggling to survive as well, maybe only Poole making any profit which is not sustainable for the League, Scunthorpe might make a little from the Stock cars so will off set the Speedway maybe?
  3. There is one in a few weeks time along with old bikes etc over two days.
  4. Possibly , practices, flat track, old bike weekends auto jumble etc . Not confirmed about next year but this news does not bode well for 2027.
  5. Not premiership but news not looking good for Workington next year .
  6. Not good news to hear, says the track will run on practices and other events .
  7. Not sure , will be better for fans I would have thought travelling from Berwick .
  8. This weekend (Sunday) sees the Comets up against the old enemy The Berwick Bandits in this League encounter with the Comets eager for points after last weeks draw against Edinburgh. The weather forecast at this early stage looks good so hopefully we will see plenty of Bandits fans make the trip over from the North East. Don't forget 3pm on Sunday this weekend.
  9. Dan Thompson didn’t score very many, Loftus scored more than his average
  10. Max Perry also stated he aggravated a rotator cuff injury yesterday. I too would like to win home meetings and I’m sure the riders would too they must be frustrated as well, points make prizes . Hopefully next week we can beat the bold enemy Berwick .
  11. After last weeks defeat by Poole the Comets will be looking to gain League points from this meeting against Edinburgh. The Monarchs however have a very handy side with big hitters in Dan Thompson, Justin Sedgemen and Kye Thomson, so another difficult meeting ahead. Its not clear at the moment if the Monarchs will be using r/r for Paco who is away in Italy for the Gp challenge . The weather on Saturday has showers forecast for the morning and early afternoon so the track will have some good natural watering!
  12. Good interview with Richard Coleman on YouTube chatsgp
  13. Hopefully the Comets can put up a decent fight, the score who kows?
  14. Cook, Barker, Bewley, no doubt all will be revealed after the semi final at the weekend.
  15. After a few weeks of no track action at the GT Tyres arena the Comets are in action against the highly fancied Poole Pirates team. The Workington riders whilst having no team action have been busy riding for their respective Premiership sides (Batch, Tate and Drew) and also guesting for other Championship teams. Max and Vinnie have also been guesting a few times for championship teams so hopefully the guys will be race ready. The Poole team are packed with heavy hitters including the formidable pairing of Rushen and Cairns, while the heat leaders include Lawson , Cook and Kerr! The weather at the weekend is forecast to be a bit cooler than of late which should be better for the racing surface. ** Remember it is back to the 6pm start time**
  16. Hopefully the BSPL have been working on next season if only to outline a potential League structure so plans are in place in plenty of time for 2027 and beyond............
