  1. Cook, Barker, Bewley, no doubt all will be revealed after the semi final at the weekend.
  2. After a few weeks of no track action at the GT Tyres arena the Comets are in action against the highly fancied Poole Pirates team. The Workington riders whilst having no team action have been busy riding for their respective Premiership sides (Batch, Tate and Drew) and also guesting for other Championship teams. Max and Vinnie have also been guesting a few times for championship teams so hopefully the guys will be race ready. The Poole team are packed with heavy hitters including the formidable pairing of Rushen and Cairns, while the heat leaders include Lawson , Cook and Kerr! The weather at the weekend is forecast to be a bit cooler than of late which should be better for the racing surface. ** Remember it is back to the 6pm start time**
  3. Hopefully the BSPL have been working on next season if only to outline a potential League structure so plans are in place in plenty of time for 2027 and beyond............
  4. Yes confusing , all riders had 4 rides I think , only started filing programme out half way through busy doing other things
  5. Most of scandanavians looked good , Charles Wright unbeaten in four rides. Vinnie Ford looked impressive slong with Gilkes. A long meeting because of the sunny windy weather which dried the track out quickly .
  6. Charlie wright looked good today at worky unbeaten in 4 rides
  7. Glasgow the better team on the day , well done to them . Worky fought back a little bit towards the end of the meeting to make the score a bit more respectable
  8. Its England V Scotland this Saturday afternoon, Sea Lions v Rampant Lion...........err no not Football. Workington will be trying for all the League points including the bonus but I have a feeling it will not be as easy as last years big win against the Tigers. Workington will feature the new signing of Drew Kemp and hopefully will score a few points on his Comets debut, whilst the Tigers will be full of confidence after their good away win at Oxford on Wednesday evening. The weather in Workington is looking fine for Saturday so hopefully we will see some great racing , Glasgow usually bring plenty of support to Workington so it should be a good atmosphere at the GT Tyres Arena.
  9. Should do a good job for the Comets.
  10. I woulnt say that, Derwent Park offered some fine racing in its time and was a favoutite of many riders. Would Armadale , Berwick or Scunny be better than Derwent Park for example?
  11. Yes batch gets some stick from fans but rarely lets the Comets down and has often kept the team in meetings away from home . i personally did not suffer from dust on the second bend this week and thought the track held up well considering the drying wind but was a cool day for June Max Perry is starting to get his confidence back and riding well , Jonas struggled with the track a bit I believe and if Tate could improve his gating he would have an easier life but less entertaining for the fans 😃
  12. Mostly gossip rumour and opinions on the BSF but if businesses ignore the public ....
  13. Not underestimating oxo at all just a wee guess at the score
  14. Weather looking good for tomorrow, should be a good meeting, ill go for a worky win by about 10pts.
  15. Workington go in search of more League points when the face Oxford this Saturday afternoon at 3pm. The Oxford team should go well at the GT Tyres Northside Arena with Sam Masters leading the side backed up by GP reserve Anders Rowe and stand in for Erik Riss old hand Eddie Kennett, also at reserve the improved Dayle Wood should do well.
