That's just pain daft... He has had far more criticism from fans and managements in the EL - remembering last year's problems etc... Though he did threaten to go PL about this time last year. Whenever he's not getting his own way he threatens all manner of things. It's more likely he's sulking because Bournemouth are not top of the NDL... but there's no lower league for him to threaten to move too. I do wish Matt would grow up...

Many promoters give the non-Brits a place in a team without even seeing them - and set up sponsorship for them. They seem to think that any non Brit must be better than a British rider. Thankfully they are sometimes wrong...
-
Poles, Aussies etc. have everything handed to them on a plate...if promotions treated British riders equally well then perhaps the grit and determination might shine through. Difficult though when you're trying to hold down a job etc. - whilst non-British riders are unable to work and therefore have all the time in the world to practice or work on their bikes...

Look on the BSPA site - Riders section

To be able to fit Glanz into the team - and keep his pals in - Bowden needed to get rid of Smethills and Starke...

Interesting that James Sarjeant scored 7 + 2 ... -
He's been the same for the last couple of seasons - and the reason is (IIRC) because Glanz got injured whilst riding PL. Guess he'll have it in his contract that he doesn't ride PL this time around. I thought that if Plymouth were going PL next season Paul Starke - as a Plymouth asset - would have been a useful asset. I wonder what will happen to the clique if they do go PL...surely 'the old boys' won't return to PL riding
-
He might have been born in Swindon - but I presume that he will get help coming over here from Denmark (?) where he lives and works...
-
And he was the rider for Plymouth who had improved his average (5 -> 7.5)... And Bowden's kept in his 'Plymouth Pensioners' - laughable - if it wasn't so sad that a young Brit has been ditched...OK, OK Glanz has British parentage (I think)...but to ditch a young hopeful for a guy who's barely ridden after an injury 2 seasons ago is not good. Just goes to show that Bowden has favourites... thinking of the riders he's 'let go' and who came good after they left Plymouth...

What is going on indeed... It looks as if 'commonsense prevails' for Rye House only...given the situation with Saints and Rye House the other week...but I'm assuming that Newport didn't 'ride under protest'... -

But Len Silver did know what he was doing - otherwise he would of paid Tyson Nelson for points...not just expenses. A pathetic yellow-bellied decision by the governing body... -

If he wasn't elligible then Rye House Cobras should lose his 17 points - making it a win for Scunthorpe Saints. Anything less than that equals rewarding Rye House for breaking the rules... -

Good one Bossman Just trying to work out about riding for free but getting expenses...did it go through the books - or was it cash in hand I wonder...and who will Tyson Nelson ride for next season??? -

Good to get back on topic Can't find anything to confirm that Tyson Nelson was not elligable yet... -

This is getting boring zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz 2006 & 2007 One older rider and six teenage riders, one of whom had patriality... THe so-called super strength was gained by picking the right riders and developing them, and during the 2007 key riders were often missing because they were doubling up in the PL... the team was at full strength only about three or four times during the season. I don't know about paying over the odds - I think that only Buxton - and maybe Sittingbourne were paying the flat £5 a point and that other teams were paying more than Scunthorpe. BTW 4 Australian riders ... and how many others have dual patriality...? -

Like a mini track, amateur meetings, and second halves... One rider from mini track to reserve at Pl in (?)10 months... The groundwork can be put in place - when the venues are right - but the work does need to be put in. It's so much easier for the vast majority of promoters to use 'the finished product' than put the work in when they do have a venue that is accessible. I'm sure that most promoters don't even bother to look out for potential new riders, preferring to use experienced riders... or anyone that isn't British... A bit of PR about 'new, exciting young British riders' wouldn't go amiss... -

Was Dakota North's paperwork in order? For me - it's the fact that no-one can confirm or deny that Tyson Nelson was riding illegally... -

One minute it's a rider - riding for free ( and if anyone believes that...)- the next he's a signing... One SA rider - with (I believe) patriality... One 'Wizard of Oz' born in Scunthorpe... One perfectly legal 2006/7 team - full of young developing riders, with one experienced older rider... Hoe legal was Rye House's team yesterday? How far were the rules streeeeetched? Do RH fans really feel good about the way their team won yesterday? -

After last season Rob Godfrey had to make a big decision to continue developing youngsters in the NDL. This season he's brought slightly older novice riders into the sport... and still the goalposts are being moved by a 'win at all costs' club with a PL team. Obviously the BSPA, the EL and the PL don't want British riders in the League or Team GB... Jayne - I made my mind up well before I typed...and if the NDL isn't a League where I can watch/note new talent next season then I guess I won't be posting on here... -

Is that as a 5 pointer in the PL and a 6 pointer in the NL? As the NDL has only been running with points rather than grades for a couple of seasons I would think that the 6 would come from being a 5 pointer in the PL and a grade 6 in the old CL. A grade 6 rider is a totally different thing from a 6 pointer... and would seem to fit better than a 5 pointer in the PL and a 6 pointer in the NDL. As someone else suggested... sure;y a 5 pointer in the PL should equal a 10 pointer in the NL... -

Because Rye House Cobras are now second in the NL - 4 pts away from the leaders, with a game in hand - after this meeting... -
Will I have the pleasure of meeting you on Sunday at the Scunthorpe double-header? You can't miss me - I have 'SCRIBBLER' on the back of my polo shirt

Just a suggestion... These type of messages should - perhaps - be confined to personal messages - and not put on a public forum... I'll probably now be shouted down because I'm neither a Plymouth or a Rye House supporter - but I'm a Speedway supporter and I hate to see a thread brought down to this level. The discussion should be about the speedway meeting and I should be able to read people's opinions - not one poster attacking supporters of the same team as his own.
