  1. Genuinely sorry to hear Tom is packing in speedway, he is one of those riders I would gladly pay to watch, a pure entertainer who never ever gave anything other than 100%. To be honest, he was one of my favourite riders !! I always enjoyed watching Tom when he rode for Berwick and always tried to keep an eye on his scores when he wasn't riding for us as the times I spoke to him, he always seemed keen, enthusiastic and very very friendly. Best wishes for the future Tom, whatever it holds for you.
  2. Nothing more to add than what people have put already, especially Bryn. RIP Kenny, condolences to all who knew you.
  3. Does anyone have a copy on video or DVD of Saturday's GP, I was supposed to tape it for a friend who is working out of the country just now but I completely forgot, only as Leigh Adams crossed the line did I think to myself "Ian will be happy at that" followed by a huge big "oh $%^* I was supposed to record it for him" !! If anyone has a copy would they be willing to post it to me, I would be willing to meet all postage costs and return a tape / DVD to them for their trouble. If you can help, please PM me !
  4. Best wishes to Dan from Al & Porkpie at Sim Speedway. Enjoy your holiday Dan and take the chance to rest that leg !
  5. Well done to Josh and to all the riders who competed in this excellent competition, and well done to Peter Oakes and co for arranging it. I was able to see the round at Armadale and was very impressed with the riders attitude, and some of them are real talents for the future, especially Josh.
  6. Any heat results from this meeting ??? Well done Adrian - more success in your already tremendous season !!
  7. It is taking us ages Lioness, hence the fact it is sometimes a little while between updates !!
  8. If anyone is interested, we have an entire history of Berwick since the very beginning on line at www.berwickbandits.co.uk - every rider who has ever ridden in the Black & Gold (up to the end of 2002) is on there, as are statistics for every year up until 2002. New online is the story of Berwick from the start to present day, the first part covering up to 1970 is on line and the rest will follow over the winter as will 'top 20' statistics for Berwick. Everything mentioned above is in the 'Looking Back' section.
  9. Teams that can afford it !! I've always wondered why Arena Essex don't go up into the EL, they seem to have all the resources and seem a very well run club. Workington get a large support and could probably afford it too.
