Nicolai Klindt if it's a rider who has previously rode for the Robins surely. What a prat as I read it a rider who had rode for Swindon so it's got to be Gustaffson:-) Well with home meetings supposed to be more regular in 2014 it might be Dakota North & not a Swede.

I support & love the sport first & foremost & my club 2nd & have been highly critical of them in the past especially last season with the finance fiasco. The sport had a chance to put a level playing field in with the draft riders at reserve & to have any rider in it with a Premier lge average above 5 is simply ridiculous when compared to the other draft riders. It doesn't matter who they are or who they ride for. We will never agree on it but I'm certain that the 3 riders with a Premier lge above 5 will clean up at reserve in their races against the other draft riders & believe me I would still be saying this if they were at Swindon.
-
A very clever & sensible move by Kings Lynn to sign Darryl Richings for the National Lge side as he'll be ready to stand in for both reserves if they can't ride for any reason.
-
No agenda at all as will point out AGAIN that it was in answer to a post made by Steve Shovlar about Kyle Newman & have mentioned the other riders on the other thread. Will answer any posts you make about me but as for the rest then I will be staying away from this thread. You reckon!!!!
-
You read into it what you want as I really couldn't care less as a reasonable debate with you is only ok by your rules. Pathetic.
-
I did do that on the draft thread but simply replied to a post on this thread about Kyle Newman & it went from there. I'll stick to staying away from this thread in future but have always taken an interest in Poole as have watched more meetings there than anywhere else apart from Swindon.
-
Precisely so he rode one season 5 seasons ago & is allowed to be protected on that basis. I assume then he's done 4 seasons in the Premier lge since then as well???. Madness of a decision & meanwhile riders like Auty, Roynon & Birks who have been riding for less time are left on the shelf. Have answered about the other 2 so if you think it's Poole bias then fair play but I know it's not & will end it there as your points on him bring born in Poole, riding for one season in 2009 & linking Weymouth to it as well are so irrelevant it's beyond reason. I bet Belle Vue wish they said as Garrity was born there he should ride for them. None of Garrity, Kerr or Newman should've been in the draft but I guess that's Poole bias as well!!!!!!
-
I see what you're saying & it makes sense but it baffles me that a rider could easily up their average by riding against these draft riders. Where as a top rider riding against Darcy would drop there's dramatically by meeting him 3 times in a meeting. I just find it so strange & can understand why Kings Lynn are easily favourites with how they've set their team up.
-
Easy to call it sour grapes but come up with a valid reason of why a rider who has been in the Premier lge for how many seasons is in a draft with riders who have rode only one season or less in the National lge???. Please read my points & try & look past the Poole bit as I'd be saying the same if Newman was at any other club.
-
Lewis Kerr came through a Kings Lynn National lge team so maybe on that basis they should be rewarded but as I put in another post it shouldn't matter as NO RIDER should have been in the draft with a Premier lge average of above 5 anyway. There is no way Newman should've been in the draft as when did he ride for Poole or Bournemouth Buccaneers in the national lge anyway??? A protected asset on a basis of riding for them in the last 2 seasons would've been fair.
-
If the other promotors & idiots who made that decision had made the right one it would as he shouldn't be at reserve anyway. As usual the same club gets away with a loophole.
-
Might have something to do with how it doesn't matter how good your top 5 are when certain clubs get advantages at reserve when they don't deserve them. Nothing changed in this corrupt sport & I'm not spending anymore money watching it anymore. Only went occasionally last season but pretty sure I won't bother in 2014. Wonder if you'd be so enthusiastic if another team had got away with Newman at reserve. No problem with Kings Lynn as they support a National lge team. Why if they upped their average thus showing they are doing we'll would you want to replace one with Zengota?.
-
I have no enthusiasum at all for it.
-
You honestly think more fans will go to watch a Wolves team with the world champion in it than a team that previously had him in it last season with Freddie as well?. Can't see it myself & only see less fans not more.

Elite League Draft Riders
Crazy robin replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
A meeting within a meeting where the top 5 easily out score their opponents but the meeting is decided by a reserve who shouldn't have been there in the first place having a field day. Yes it has happened in the past but that was teams choice on how to use their points limit & now it seems more unfair than ever. Do you honestly think Kings Lynn would've gone with 3 big hitters if they didn't have protected reserves?. Not a dig at Kings Lynn either as they've backed the young lads in the National League. No rider who had a Premier League average over 5 should've been allowed in the draft. People are hiding behind fans stopped going because they lost the habit as there was so few meetings. The ones I know stopped going because at £17 plus extras it was to expensive & that was before sticking the draft riders in. Yes something needed to be done but the usual clubs seem to always benefit. -
Is it his choice he's not doing Sweden or their choice?.

When you look at the top combinations it makes you realise just how weak we could be compared to the other teams named. When you look at the top combinations it makes you realise just how weak we could be compared to the other teams named.

Going to be interesting what average a foreign rider will be if Poole do go down that route as can't see Dudek on a 4 somehow.
-
The signing of Gustaffson over Zengi would leave more points for the other 2nd string as Zengi leaves us with very few choices & I'm not sure Ashley Birks will be the answer after his bad injury.
-
Iron on his average could be a real trump card for someone.
-
Have to be iron out of them 2 as Nilsson is more up & down than a roller coaster. Hoping for something more to be honest with the last 2 signings than either of them.
-
That's a bit harsh on Steve Shovlar as he's not that bad really:-) Every club of every sport has fickle fans who only go when the team is doing well no matter what season it is. Poole had Bjarne & Crumpie that season if I remember rightly & it still wasn't enough to get fans through the turnstile. I think yes fans wanted to see Greg & he was superb how he conducted himself at Swindon but it was winning again that got those fans back to Poole.
-
Think he'll struggle to get a spot at the start of the season & will be reliant on riders losing form or injured.
