See the teenage Poole fanatics with so little else to occupy them in their life's are out in force early today.

How many riders would move if they had the choice though as I don't think it would be many & harsh to say they have to stay at a club. The points limit dictates it rarely happens as a result.

Quite agree that it's hard to prove but so many on here use Tv as a plus for the sport & I don't think you can say that. The way the promotors seem to think that they can keep spinning the fans the same old stories just simply doesn't cut it anymore where there is so much choice for leisure out there. I really do hope it works out as it's such a great sport.

Can you honestly say that more fans go to speedway because it's shown on Sky because I don't think that's the case at all. The sport was thriving in different era's without television & people always seem to ignore that. It amazes me how parents can afford to pay £17 to watch speedway the same way it amazes me that they can find £26 to watch Swindon Town. Reality always seems to escape these people who just think that the well will keep producing water when it's been bled dry for most of the normal society. In short both leagues at £16 or £17 are to expensive.

If i lived nearer Rye House than Belle Vue it wouldn't matter a jot who was cheaper or who was in what team but would just be down to me watching speedway at my nearest track. They both are to dear in my opinion & the more gaps in the terraces this season will emphasise that as fans are no longer able to pay this much to watch it.
-
Surely the difference between watching Elite or Premier League really depends on which is the nearest track to you as I would be mad to travel to watch Somerset each week & the added cost of travelling etc when I can go to Swindon because it's closer to me. It wouldn't matter if they were the same price as I can't see many fans travelling to Swindon when they live nearer Somerset.

What Happens When A Rider Is Missing?
Crazy robin replied to pete cc's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sorry wasn't meant as a pop but was trying to say just how are they going to administer this when the track doctor was always considered to be dodgy at times at times in the past. Oh how exciting that will be then to see the NL reserves racing heat leaders in R/R rides. -
What Happens When A Rider Is Missing?

Can't see how a referee will be able to say whether a rider is suffering from a blurred vision etc as they would be in serious legal doo doo if proved wrong & a rider got injured. Lets be honest & just say the whole thing is an absoloute mess & has more holes in it that a sieve. -
Leicester 2014 . Elite

Crikey another Swindon asset going on loan at Leicester & strangely I feel that they will finish above Swindon as well. -
Leicester 2014 . Elite

Yes as I've seen some cracking meetings at Poole when the track resembled an ice speedway track with the lack of shale. Sky need to show a fairer amount of the teams going forward. -
Which Rider Is On The Best Value Average

Who cares as averages will be a joke in this new format anyway!!!! -

Swindon, are you sure about that? -
Oh we really couldn't see that coming could we as it's like turkeys voting for Christmas depending on whether you've gone for a top heavy team or stronger 2nd strings & I said right at the beginning of this thread I couldn't understand how teams could sign riders when they had no idea of the race format. What a joke & I guess it will come down to a flip of a coin for heads or tails.

6 Of The 15 Gp In El Next Season
Crazy robin replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So what happens when the current brand of riders going on loan each season retire?. I understand what you're saying but the facts are the rider pool is getting less & surely it will become a problem. -
Agree with that & Poole & Kings Lynn will easily finish top 2 unless injuries affect Kings Lynn. Poole have enough assets to cover any injury to any rider except Newman who finishes off their main 5 to make them clear favourites.

Shame he doesn't invest in riders as well rather than loaning riders every season. -
Don't really think Rosco had any choice really though Chalkie as who else is out there & he knows Darryl will give it his all.
-
I can't see that as Nick is mustard at Somerset & a better all round rider than Ty who is also coming back from a serious injury. Ollie is used to being a No 1 as well so they might have swapped places early in the season but would've fully expected Nick to finish as No 1 in the end. It also would've given Somerset another rider form the successful team of last season which would also have put bums on seats so too speak.
-
Be interesting to see how many meetings Ty misses for Somerset compared to Nick Morris as this yet again looks like a kid in the teeth for Nick. Understandable if there is a massive difference but would've pre-ferred Nick to Ty if I was a Somerset fan.

Darryl Richins is named as the last Robin for 2014 which is no great surprise & good luck to the lad. Never will agree with this reserve rule but wish him well.

Don't agree with all these loan deals & clubs should be made to buy a rider if they want him after one season on loan & I include Swindon in that with Troy. That said I guess the way the sport is going even more so now the loan system will be the only one in operation as clubs would be mad to buy a rider & then not be able to use him.
