Swindon & Poole Home And Away On April 18
Crazy robin replied to Grachan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I used to look forward to the battles between Phil Crump vs. Peter Collins & Leigh Adams vs. Jason Crump but you're right what do they matter when you can see Lee Smart vs. Dan Greenwood:-( -

All of the draft riders who rode in the National League in 2013 have every right to be in it but not Garrity or Newman who both were Premier Lge 2nd strings last season. Would've also had more balance in the 2 draft reserves if they both had to have 4 rides each per meeting. This draft will not help them become Elite League 2nd strings anymore than the old system helped Kyle Howarth & others. -

Great night for Magic & as Kelvin said "He can't be far off being a GP rider". Unlucky Coventry as efforts deserved a point but well done to Poole. -

This draft decision is really good as I imagine Lee Smart or whoever will replace him will come on leaps & bounds getting 3 rides every meeting. Why if they were going to do it would they not have said both reserves have to have 4 rides. Will be good to see Kyle following up this form with high scores in the Premier League but I bet he doesn't & that's where this draft falls on it's backside. I have said he should never have been in the draft in the first place & tonight just proves it. -

Riders seem to be unsure of the track especially whilst in front which is strange really. -

No they're not all under 21 & some like Simon Lambert, Lee Smart & Lewis Blackbird are even older than Kyle but at least they all rode in the National League in 2013. Oh no they didn't as Newman & Garrity didn't do that either. -

Hardly a kid & not doing an awful lot in the Premier League this season so if he can't make hay in the reserves races then no-one will be able to. That said great win over Howarth. -

What like all the riders who've come through the Poole system!!! Would've been much better really to have raced at home on Thursday & feel like some might be put off with the flying Benji guesting for Steve. -

Always find it funny when I think back to a Malcolm Simmons interview in Backtrack where he says Ronnie used to pay to get others to do the Hackney track & now is supposed to know how to prepare one. -

Just ignore the new persona as it's still the same old dross. -

Steve would've been mad to have signed for Swindon rather than riding harder races in the Premier League if he would've had the choice. Fair play to the lad though as he is doing well in all 3 leagues & Swindon will miss him when fixtures clash. Sorry but is Benji Compton really the best guest we can get?. That's 10-2 to Poole in the reserves races then. -

Another new persona then & how many is that now!!!!!!!!! -
It amazes me that we moan about young drivers driving powerful cars when just passing their tests then expect young inexperienced speedway riders to go out & not push themselves to limits beyond their present ability. I said right at the start of this draft decision that young riders should be left to develop at their own pace & not pushed to doin it as the risk of serious injury could be a result. We've already seen one young rider have a serious injury & with the pressure they're under I just hope it's the last.

Totally agree & fair play to him for doing that & although at times he can be rather flakey an on form Matej is superb to watch. Hope one day we'll see him as a Robin again. -

I think once Hans comes round to the fact that he's no longer a Robin he'll be ok but one things for sure he won't have many meetings where he scores 4 points. -

Look at the scores these draft riders are getting for their Premier Lge teams & I'd say the Premier Lge is harder for them so who's to say they won't learn more there. The advantage of riding in the Elite is the 2 reserve races & getting help from the senior riders. -

Not always the case as can always feel worse as time goes on especially after a nights sleep. -

Ben doesn't seem to be the dominate force in the Premier League at the moment either that he was in the past. -
Elite League Draft Riders

It seems really weird looking at the scores of the draft riders in action for their Premier League clubs tonight & then comparing them to their Elite League scores. -

A good night for the Robins & all the top 5 doing their jobs & confidence boosters for Nicolai, Simon, Nick & Steve. -

Is it really that bad as the weather has been good so no excuses for the track?. -

Unless Simon & Nicolai have a good night the pessamist in me can only see an away win. -

Is talent at 16 another way of saying "over-hyped" by fans because Lewis has never gone down the Premier Lge route & when you see his rides last night what did you really expect him to score?. I agree though popping wheelies when at the back is the most annoying thing a rider can do. -

Crazy robin replied to TheSmiler's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think they certainly will be one of the most inconsistent though as it's going to be tough for Nick, Nicolai & Simon are both hit & miss from meeting to meeting & we have the lowest graded reserve as well now.
