Rider of the year with a sub 6 point average doesn't really equate to a great season or am I missing something? . That is a geniune question or were the other riders that bad?.
-
Could get Phil Morris to do it & I'm sure he'd be fair:-)
-
So Kyle Newman gets a Elite lge average 1.32 points less than Steve Worrall based on their Premier lge averages?. How is that fair???????
-
It's going to be a flaming disaster as having confidence in people doing it properly is something that takes some believing.
-
Fair play:-)
-
Not the Plymouth fans I know.
-
At least we know now why he kept his Premier League average so low & hope the Plymouth fans were happy with his efforts!!
-
Hopefully Kyle should be in the top 5 & not at reserve:-)
-
Over ruled by who as he was the main man in charge & why did he not walk if that was the case? When you look at how some of the draft riders did in the Premier Lge then that surely gives a clearer view of their true ability or is it that they had better kit in the Elite lge?. Look at where some of them finished in the Premier lge averages & the journeyman riders who finished above them. It can give a rider confidence that is a big thing but do you really think any of them can cut it in a Elite because I don't & surely that has to be a reality check. Did Kyle Newman really makes great strides as his Premier Lge average doesn't show it?.
-
I imagine this was all sorted when they came up with the new race format . Oh hang on sorry forgot this is speedway so they won't have a clue what to do & wouldn't have give it a thought sadly.
-
Maybe it is harsh & you have a valid point but I just get fed up listening to the foreign riders moan about British speedway when together they helped each other.
-
Not be an assett of a certain club was the only reason that can make any real sense especially after his serious accident.
-
Yet another rider who has used Britiish speedway then as he was more than happy to ride here when Poland & Sweden didn't want him & all the meetings it involved. Britain will never have a 18 meeting season so good luck Killer & no doubt if things don't work out you'll be back in double quick time.
-
Well said & Steve had a breakthrough season at both levels but had done nothing until this season. Compare his 3 point average with others in the draft & he was the big improver but was not the best rider. Some hide behind bias views but I pre-fer facts.
-
If my name was on something & I was getting pressure put on me to make certain decisions I was uncomfortable with I'd walk away from it & make sure people knew. By saying nothing Phil Morris will be judged on them & that is only right & proper.
-
Then he should've said so when criticism was laid at his door like anyone would've done. His name was on those decisions & if it wasn't him he should've came out & had his say. By saying nothing he will always be tarnished by it. Is it as he made some ridiculous decisions on gradings during the season & the worst one that helped out a certain club that he guest team managed weeks before.
-
Let's just hope Phil Morris is nowhere near the draft in 2015 as he proved how corrupt he was last season & should be sacked.
-
What a desperate way to end the season. & really no matter the circumstances it doesn't look good.
-
Kyle was more consistent than the others over the course of the season by quite a bit really.
-
What were they at the beginning of the season though?.
-
No way as every fan knew & said at the beginning of last season that Newman would make hay as a FTD & was way ahead of Steve, injury or not.
-
Oh what a surprise that the rider who should never have been in the draft was pivotal to them winning the league.
-
Fair comments & guess it will just stay above the average of a rider who is wanted by a certain team again then just like last year. At least the old system was how teams wanted to leave enough points for their reserves & not bent like last season. Never mind the sport is dying on it's backside & losing fans all the time anyway!!
-
No rider who has ever been in a top 5 of a Premier Lge side should be allowed for starters. Robert Lambert showed it could be done by not being a reserve & far more experienced riders were allowed to manipulate the final league table. For all that's said & done until the promotors stick together then nothing will change & more fans will be lost to the sport than fans gained.
