They own their own stadium for starters which not many others so that makes them a big club. It was a bit tongue in cheek really.

What when Poole & Kings Lynn ride on Wednesday's & they are the biggest 2 teams in British speedway. Well that is apart from having your heat leaders as asetts at Kings Lynn of course

Crazy robin replied to screm's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Can anyone tell me who gets the last 2 places at the Grand prix challenge final?. -
Simmo was often deemed as being outspoken but if only people who run this great sport had listened because he spoke a lot of sense. RIP Simmo & best wishes to all his family.

Usually Birmingham is such a great track but not tonight before or after the rain & not sure why. -

The track tonight was very bumpy in the corners & that wasn't down to the weather. -
Speedway Best Pairs

Emil looked fit to me & it's a real shame he won't b in the GP's. -
Amazing really when you think Swundon swapped Kenny for Peter Kildeman as well. Didn't see much of Kenny at Swindon but he did ok when he did ride for The Robins.
-
Whatever happened to Kenny Ingalls?.
-
I can't see that as Nick is mustard at Somerset & a better all round rider than Ty who is also coming back from a serious injury. Ollie is used to being a No 1 as well so they might have swapped places early in the season but would've fully expected Nick to finish as No 1 in the end. It also would've given Somerset another rider form the successful team of last season which would also have put bums on seats so too speak.
-
Be interesting to see how many meetings Ty misses for Somerset compared to Nick Morris as this yet again looks like a kid in the teeth for Nick. Understandable if there is a massive difference but would've pre-ferred Nick to Ty if I was a Somerset fan.

Speedway Star Toothless Pussycat
Crazy robin replied to robolots's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
On line version of Speedway Star?. -
I guess he'll have to be based in one of those countries as well?.
-
Hardly in the know though was it "Scoop" as every speedway fan knew Shamek was going to be at Poole in 2014. Gonna have to come up with something better than that. Richard Sweetman.
-
Let's see how much Nick wants to ride for Sheffield when he has a chance to go back to Somerset?. Know where my money is on.
-
Usually fantasy before any news then fact when all made public by announcements & says he knew all along but couldn't say anything. You'll have to get use to the I know it all posts from Skidder without any substance.
-
That was so obvious that he'd be a Poole asset as most riders who have average issues end up their:-)
-
Wow what a surprise that is!!. NOT
-
Nick has not said he doesn't want to ride for Swindon only that he wants to ride in both Leagues & with Swindon being a Thursday club it makes this impossible.
-
You would've been the first one if Britain were successful to say it was all down to Middlo but then try & exempt him from any blame when it was shocking.
-
Fair comments. You're right on the first bit & I enjoy a couple of visits to Somerset each season & in 2013 they were a superb team with Jason & Nick leading the way. Dissapointed to see it seems both won't be back in 2014.
-
If I was promotor of Swindon I don't think I'd be keen to help Somerset out any time soon after they released Nick somehow.

Who Was The Best Rider In The World In 2013?
Crazy robin replied to Gavan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I think Tai will handle whatever is put in front of him as the lad has had to go through much tougher & more important things in his life & has done it so far. I wish him well as he deserves everything he has achieved & will go on to achieve.
