The atmosphere is far more relaxed and friendly on GP weekend. Although I've only seen violence at 1 game in Cardiff (excluding Cardiff City matches!) there is always an air of tension I find. Except when Wales played Poland - I guess Polish sports fans in general are just great!

Alternatively, park in my street and get the train from Newport. Parking is free, my mother will keep an eye on your cars and most importantly you p**s all my neighbours off into the bargain!

From what I can tell, the link you posted says it is closed Eastbound (going away from Cardiff) on the 11th June and Westbound (going towards Cardiff) on the 12th June. If thats right it should be perfect for travelling to and from the G.P. (although I stand to be corrected).

Cant really blame anyone who goes to Cardiff but not League racing at Newport! A professionally run event at one of the worlds premier stadiums, or a match at the somewhat less than plush Stade de Hayley run by a bunch of monkeys and on organgrinder who hasn't the first idea what he is doing! Heck even I can't stomach going to Newport everyweek these days.

Usually three of us go (me, the missus and the old man) but this year their will be an extra 3, 2 of whom have never been to speedway before! Hopefully they'll like it and keep coming back.

Another lefty here! I'm pretty ambidextrous, due to the 'Shawns sister effect' where I broke my left wrist and was forced to use my righthand for a period of time. I tend to do different things with different hands, I write with my left, play darts with either, throw anything else with my right and play pool (poorly) with my right. Some people find it strange because I pick up and use knives and forks either way round. Dunno about Vinces theory about turning, from what I can remember I never had a preference when riding a bike. I do, however, prefer turning left in my car for some reason!

I sat on the lower tier for the first two years because the old man is a miserable git and refused to sit anywhere else. Finally persuaded him to sit in the top tier, as I do for football matches, and he loved it! The view from the lower tier is pretty good, but as SCB says the atmosphere isn't as good - both the noise and the fact you can't see the top 2 tiers of the stadium.

I usually go down a few weeks before hand and get them from the ticket place by the stadium. That said, I happened to be in Cardiff on Saturday, went to the ticket outlet only to be told "Sorry, we haven't had our allocation yet." Looks like I'll be getting them on the way from the POW to the stadium on the day!

Introducing caps on the transfers is football was possibly the worst thing thats happened in the sport for ages. Don't introduce stupid transfer windows into speedway.
