Good luck Saints!.....enjoy and stay safe.

Well said!....that is fact....plus we had other riders to select a No. 8.......The list is long of riders whos come through the ranks and started their NL racing at Scunny......We are doing something right!.....Well don Rob Godfrey and Richard Hollinsworth, and not forgetting Mr Vassey.
-
There are many fans out there who agree with you Mr Vessey......We have some good british kids coming through now, due to riding in the NDL. next we now need to have 2 brits compulsary in every ,PL team......Maybe then we'll get somewhere.

British Final & Semi-finals

It was announmced befor the meeting started last night that there would only be race off's for last qualifier place/places " after count backs " ie; most 3s,2s.1s then if still level the rider who beat the other rider in their race, ( obviously Auty and Hart didn't ride against each other ) I guess you can work it out cozywitch. My take on it is, because both these riders had a chance ( a lot of riders have had some bad luck ) I'd go for Simon Stead and Wuffy they haven't had a chance yet because of injury. -
Yes please speedball.

Sting only do Scorpions.....not enough members to cover both teams. GP sweepstake is for the Saints. -

Oh shame I feel for the kid. he's given us so much excitement in his Saints meetings, and he looked like he was in tears on the centre green when his 2nd engine went in heat 15 last week...speedway can be cruel!....great to have Saints 1st and 3rd......Congratulations to the Worrall twins. -

Edwardian....thanks for the score....Can you tell us what happened to G Blair...I can see his name in only one heat when he got a 2nd. Is it due to his 2 engine blow-outs last week I wonder! -
Well done Saints on a nearly win. I counted about 8 falls from the commentaries on updates so without some of those you could have won. Good that your heads didn't drop when behind...you sure had the determination to succeed and that you will do. Its great you got a point, when you consider that most of Dudleys points come from the very experienced Armstrong. Again a huge well don ! Up the Saints!!!!
-
WOW!......SAINTS TAKE A BOW! Jet propelled out of the gates and a red and blue helmet into the lead coming out of bend 2 in almost all the races. A huge well done to all riders and Stuart Parnaby....you guys have given us another terrific meeting. Hard luck Hackney you caught the Saints when they were all on fire! Hope that wasn't a blown engine in heat 15 for Greg Blair as fans near me predicted.

Best of the 2 meetings once again!....These youngsters never know when to give up, they certainly give it their all. Such a shame most of the crowd always leave after the Scorpions match. They don't know what they miss. Rider of this match for me was Greg Blair. What a race heat 14 was. He did a Richie Dennis.....rode the boards throughout the race ( superb to watch ) and got to first on the line. brilliant! Compare the times with the first meeting...all similiar 57s and 58s....Some very good british youngsters on show tonight. Well done to both teams! congratulations to the Saints on their win !!!! Pity Gary and Richie missed this one, but hey they both did great jobs riding for their PL teams Workington and Newcastle. Richie stole the show for Newcastle. great meeting, watched the recording when I got home from this match.

What a good night for Scunny.....The final 4 riders being past or present Scorpions.....Well done to all, especially Steve Worrall...who is relatively new to the sport.....A good advert for Scunny's youth policy. .....Hope Josh and other riders who fell are OK. -
I dont disgree with what your saying spinking but that is the system. If you do not require an asset to ride for your own team you loan them out. Riders need to earn a living! You mention Phil White, one of my favourites. I have watched all those riders mentioned. Other Saints/Stags was loaned from other teams too, Infact isn't that what Scunny are now doing with Richie & Ashley, Byron, Scott, Luke, possibly Magnus too. However, it is very obvious that Mr Machin and Mr Godfrey are really good buddies and possibly have thoughts, feelings that differ to some of us. In the past we have come in useful to Sheffield with our track for team practice, so its not exactly all one way

I knew you'd reply squall!.......I can assure you that I have not got a short memory. I am old enough to have supported the Saints at Quibel Park from the seventies. we got booted from there to Ashbyville when it was the Stags, got closed down from there and had no speedway until Mr Godfrey opened it up again at Normanby Rd. He has done a brill job for speedway and I would never knock him, however watching the youngsters has been so pleasurable for the last 6 years. I am gutted and I cant help that. maybe if the boot was on the other foot you'd feel the same. I have always wanted whats best for the youngsters of this country as I would love to see the brits as strong as they were in the days of Peter Collins etc. I will still be behind the youngsters when I'm watching my 5 meetings and wish every single one of them the best of luck.
-
I'm still gutted at the loss of our Saints team....yes I see it as a loss as I only get to see five meetings. A Sheffield fan pointed out to me last week that they (Sheffield) has it all now ..A first team, a reserve team a N/L team and a training track. Rub it in why dont you attitude. As for the Belle vue meeting thats the one I really wanted to see as our Byron captains their team.....Alas wont get to see it!

Can't believe Richie Worrall is not in this sem-final.....one of Scunny's best discoveries!!!! but then not surprised I'm fast losing patience with the policy we have with our youngsters. -

Nothing really....I just hope his name gets selected, purely because he was one of our youngsters who we never get to see race around the EWR anymore. be a treat to see him up against the big boys. -

What about Wuffy? -
Ive watched James at Amateur and practices at Scunny for years, he's a good rider, rode well in 2009 for Scunny but didn.t have such a good year in 2010. no reason why he shouldn't reach his potential this year if he can avoid injuries.
-
Thats it exactly and at the same time supporting the prem team, cost of petrol and admittance all too expensive! The N/L being my favourite tier of racing I am going to miss it.
-
If I am one of those fickle fans Rocket ben so be it. I have always spoken out for the youngsters and I'm 100% behind them getting the best opportunities to get to the top of our sport. If this new system does that for them I'll be happy. I'll just miss out on some of the meetings!
-
Thats you easily pleased then Lewis. Me I'm still in shock. willnot/cannot support Scunny/Sheffield. what was our team I could get 100% behind. I will have to make do with our double headers and the updates to keep in touch with how the youngsters progress.
