Brill performance from the Scorps! MPT you have your MAX which has been a long time coming. A huge well done! You were AWSOME! A bonus tonight was having Josh back, our 4 youngsters fire each other up, confident and determined for all to see. Thanks to our guests for their contribution. Have the Scorps done enough to get to the final. I certainly hope so!

Our house is full of gloom today because of the dire state our team is left in through accidents. But to blame anyone is ridiculous. Crashes happen in our sport and always will especially when riders double up. Having said that, how unlucky for us to be left with only 3 Scorpions and those being the lowest averaged riders. However I'd like to thank those riders who are to guest for us. Good luck, score us some points please! and to Ashley, Michael and Gary " perform how we know you can, were not out of it yet!... stay safe."

My choice would be; ( if it fit) 1. Josh 2. Bunyan/ R. Worrall 3. Tommy Gun 4. Birksy 5. Howe 6. MPT 7 Tom Young/ Gary/S.Worrall

Ive tried hard to get the team I'd like but struggle with the team average of 42.50. Are we sure yet that this is going to be the average for 2013. ? Would love if we could keep the same team!!! no chance I know. Josh and Birksy plus our 2 Danes are favs for my team and of course David. heart breaking to have to let riders go. they have all been brill this year. though I have full confidence in Rob and Richard to aquire the best for us.

Well done Scorpions! The loss of Cookie probably made the job a little easier, I was very impressed with Tabaka but the others didn't match up to our Scorps. Our youngsters looked determined to make sure of the win, all riders contributed with points. Jason had some hard luck, heat 9 and in the lead when he had an e/f. best wishes for a speedy recovery Cookie.

Plymouth V Newcastle Pl Friday 21st September 2012

A huge well done to Newcastle Diamonds for topping the league. Scorpions had hoped to do it by winning all 3pts tonight, but you went one better! congratulations!!!! -
My thinking was that a co-ordinator was needed for the old C/L leagues as teams were made up of mostly young lads coming into the sport, those being students who on times couldn't get to some away meetings because of exams. Fathers/ friends had difficulty driving youngsters to meetings. So I never really thought of it being a professional league. Nowadays don't really know what its suppose to be and I fear that is where our problems lie. Is the N/L a 3rd league and run as the prem? . Is it a developement league as its full of riders with PL experience.? I'm a strong believer in bringing on our young brits and do my best to help them, but I must admit I'm bewildered.

This was a much better meeting than the score suggests. After 5 heats only 4 pts difference ,but then the cream started to come to the top, our lads seemed to go up a notch. It was a solid team effort but I have to mention heat 11- MPT and Nick , amazing race, heart in mouth stuff, absolutely brilliant! got to be one of the best races this year. Well done to all the team. Now only one more meeting....Good luck SCORPIONS!

I agree with what you are saying hunch and can see the day when some clubs in N/L end up paying riders more to stay in this league. Riders will always go for the bigger points money and who would blame them! What bothers me more is all the ex prem riders in the N/L at the mo. I question " Is this the reason our brits are not getting to the top because of the up/down movement in these 2 Leagues?"

Surely this league must get back to being a developement league. If clubs like Dudley want a team of Premier standard why don't they apply to be part of PL. ?

Yet again another feast of excellent racing last night at the EWR. 2 meetings and 2 wins for Scunny ( Saints did drop 1pt ) For me it was the NL meeting that had the most exciting racing. these youngsters really do give it their all! It always looked like being a cracker with a couple of good ex Saints riders in the Rye team. Heat 15 was one of the best races this year with all 4 riders going at it like their lives depended on it. Well done to both teams...and all british youngsters too! great entertainment!

A huge well done SCORPIONS! A real team effort with all our riders scoring....Keep on it lads that league top slot looks inviting! -
Got to agree with you montie Josh to get a max in the company of Doyley whos been on fire recently was awsome, some brill racing from Josh. and his gating has improved loads this year. The meeting started off with a 5.1 for Somerset and immediately we knew it was going to be a good meeting. Our lads seem to go for it when behind. A huge well done Scorpions!!

Come on Mildenhall stick with your youngsters, they NEED all the racing they can get " Practice makes perfect" as the saying goes! Having been at Cardiff this weekend and hear the crowd noise for the brits...this is the way to go. I just wish more was done to help our kids reach the top. Its still hard going for them.

PL Pairs, Somerset 24/8
June replied to diamond_ren's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Josh is reserve at Cardiff too and will Thomas Jorgensen be announced fit?......These 2 together could do it, but I'm more inclined to think Somerset will win as Doyle has been on fire lately, plus home track advantage. -

Got to say I do watch these youngsters, but not with a competative view as these riders seem to race for differeent teams. Not the same as NL. Hope the kids gain knowledge of the different tracks though.
