I don't see why the BSPA should or how they can concede anything to Coventry. Why should one club hold the sport to ransom?
If Pawlicki (sp?) average gets returned to 4.00 it's an outrage. I agree Coventry have been hard done by, but one club should not be allowed to throw it's dummy out of the pram to suit them.
Having said this I think Mr Sandhu is entirely correct that a review of the governing of the sport should be undertaken. An independent governing body without the petty interests of promoters is the way forward.
Id also say that as Poole fan I am in no way bitter about the league last year. Coventry beat us in the play off final fair and square. It will be a travesty if a club the size of Coventry and the defending champions don't take part in the Elite League and defend their crown.
Mystified by your down beat attitude. Holder will be in the series next year. Darcy Ward and Tai will certainly be competing in it soon. Lindback is mounting a revival. Plus Pavlic, Bridger, Houggard, some young poles coming through. I think in terms of young riders coming through, the future is bright.
No British riders wouldn't stop me going to Cardiff.
I support riders that ride for Poole and other favourites. If a brit is in it i will support them, but nationality doesnt come into it as much as ohter sports, for me.
Foreign riders ride these same 'dangerous' bikes, and at the moment our lot cant keep up with them.
Ive wasted enough of my time supporting Nicholls cheers. Harris and Richardson have both had their chance as well.
I always get behind the British riders, but are they somehow immune to constructive criticism.
The fact of the matter is NO British rider deserves a place. Why should one get a place simply because they are British? if the 16 best riders in the world were from Afghanistan then those 16 should be in the GP. Too much politics.
Because Lindback is one of the best and most exciting riders in the world?
Being there on 'merit' is all well and good, but the GP like it or not is about attracting fans. Lindback puts bums on seats.
