GP Predictions Round 3 - WROCLAW
fatface replied to Rico's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Loramski is definitely worth a shot. I'll have a tenner on him at e/w at least. If he is going to get on a GP rostrum this year - which in this form, he surely will - Wroclaw could well be that place. -

Can't add much to the Baron's efforts, but here goes: 230 - Troy Butler 231 - Jimmy Nilsen, Shooey, Sean Wilson 232 - now you're testing us! Is one of them Ian M Stead? 234 - I'll try the same fella - Ian M Stead

Spooky - don't suppose you remember visiting a cheese making place on the trip too? That's one of my faint memories anyway, Jez. I too was only ickle and was with mum and dad.
-
207 - could that possibly be Erik Gundersen? 219 - Wiggy 220 - Bo Petersen 221 - Mike Lee 222 - Chris Morton 223 - Shawn Moran 224 - Shawn leads Kelly 225 - Nielsen leads Sigalos 226 - Eric Monaghan BTW - I do find it a little spooky that lots of your pics are from the 84 Overseas and the 83 World Final. Both meetings I was at too. Where were you stood in Norden? I was on the back straight. I was only 9, but remember it all quite clearly. We went there on a Chequers Travel Coach, had a night in Amsterdam and a another night somewhere in Germany. I also remember meeting National League supporters for the first time (Milton Keynes) and couldn't understand why they didn't go to watch someone good like Belle Vue. Funny how things turn round (see racejacket ) Lovely memories though....

Pedersens reception at Cardiff
fatface replied to Noodles's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I know it's nuts isn't it! The guy's ears must be burning like hell. I must stop contributing myself, but it's strangely addictive..... -
Pedersens reception at Cardiff

Good question... Answer: Because there hadn't been a new Nick Pedersen thread set up in the past 12 minutes. Scandalous! Come on forum members! -
Is 173 definitely a Tiger? I was thinking it could be Nigel De'Ath.
-
..........whereas Steve Gresham simply wrote an X.............

Kelly Moran's was a mess. Then again, he did write it in this 8-year-old's book whilst he had his tongue down some female fence-hanging fan's throat. Me: "Yeurch! Mum, that Kelly Moran is disgusting! Do you know what he was doing........"
-
That's right - I've got that somewhere too. Didn't he draw a mouse within it? Phil Collins was another to draw a smiley face.

Team GB - Time to Choose
fatface replied to SuzieQ's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
My ten would be: Mark Loram, Scott Nicholls, Lee Richardson - our only true World Class riders David Norris - fine form Gary Havelock - ditto, good team man too Joe Screen - still capable at this level Andy Smith - well up to speed and deserves it Carl Stonehewer - excellent form Dean Barker - has showed a touch of class this season Chris Neath - only young Brit who has advanced at all this year Res - Stuart Robson - 100% trier -
Great story Norbold. I do hope a great find like that finds a good home, be it with yourself or some other old-time fan who will cherish it. It does make me think that it is a shame there is no British Speedway Museum. What a fine exhibit that would be. Talking of autographs, when I was between 9 and 11 I would take my Mike Patrick Speedway books to every meeting and fill them with the featured riders signatures. Looking back at them now, I have some crackers - PC, Kenny Carter, Shawn & Kelly Moran, Bobby Schwartz, Phil Crump, Sam Ermolenko, Lance King, Wiggy and erm Sean Willmott.

I now pronounce you.........

-

Agree with most of what Bee says. Silver had his moments, but I don't think he was ever going to better than he actually was. having said that, it's a smashing clip.
-
......I trust you're refering to falcace who I'm told doesn't look that good in a skirt.......... :D Ah, yes.....Perhaps you could be joint secretaries............ What do ya reckon falcace??....do you wanna type the letters or make the coffees ??? OK. I'll do it. But only if you can guarantee I get to meet the god that is........Tony "Fast" Forward. You're testing me now. I reckon it was about 90/91?
-
As I recall he had a nasty accident in which he nearly lost his arm. He came back but with one of his arms not working properly, he was never going to be the rider he was.
-
137 - Peter Carr, Jimmy Nilsen, Kelly Moran 138 - come on people, do I have t get this one every time? Give us a T, give us an O, give us an N...... 135 - sneaky one, but you don't fool me............Tiger Louis
