He was. Rode in four world finals finishing as bronze medallist in 1975 (4th 5th and 6th in the other three). World best Pairs Champion 1976, three times World Cup Winner (72, 74, 75) British Champion 1975 plus many more titles. I recommend his book 'A Life in Speedway.' https://www.amazon.co.uk/John-Louis-Life-Speedway/dp/0992742706

The only race suit Emil will be riding in for now is that of Torun.
-
It actually doesn't matter what this country believes. It is the FIM who made this ruling in March 2022.
-
This is not entirely correct. Krzysztof qualified for the SGP in 2002 but lost his place in the Poole team because of the ruling that year restricting clubs to just one GP rider so he moved to Eastbourne. Poole already had Tony Rickardsson who joined them in 2001.
-
The FIM has nothing to do with the EU. It is a global organisation and the governing body of motor cycle racing throughout the World.
-
It is possibly trying to persuade the FIM to allow him to ride here. Arguments in his favour will be put forward such as having Polish citizenship (his wife is Polish) and residing in Poland since 2009. Whether this is enough remains to be seen.
-
I don't know where these rumours relating to Emil are coming from. On 5th March 2022 the FIM placed a ban on Russian riders and I cannot see this has been rescinded. https://www.autosport.com/motogp/news/fim-announces-ban-on-russian-belarusian-license-holders/8727244/#:~:text=The FIM has announced a,MotoGP and its supporting classes.

It could be the Troy Batchelor situation holding things up and waiting to see if he gets a Championship place. This appears impossible now and, having no team on the Continent either, he might decide to stay at home in 2023.

At the moment he wouldn't have to as he has not signed in Sweden or Denmark, just Poland (Lodz). However I expect he will be back at Esbjerg as their current squad is incomplete.
-
You wont get Francis Gusts. He has already signed up to clubs in Poland, Sweden and Denmark.
-
Has the list been announced yet?

Although not part of this topic, is anybody else having difficulty in accessing the BSPL website. I still get the usual message regarding the establishment of a secure connection but no further. It has been like this for the past couple of days.

Before you dismiss Hans entirely, this is his record at Foxhall over the past two seasons: 11+2 (5) 15+2 (6) 11+2 (5) 11+1 (5) 7+1 (5)

It could have been worded better but this means seven man teams to me. POINTS LIMIT: 39.00 for six riders, teams to also include one Rising Star
