Without knowing the format of the EL in 2014, it is impossible to choose a line-up. However, a few riders who can make starts on a consistent basis wouldn't be a bad idea.

A few reasons the first being Sweden's season has finished for 2013, our's hasn't. Secondly, they have a much more structured set-up with averages, salary caps etc in place already. It is not all a bed of roses for our Scandinavian neighbours though. Each club in the Elitserien races at home only once a fortnight although I believe each has to field a junior side who, presumebly, race on the 'off Tuesdays.' There are eight clubs in the EL and the second, Alvenskan, has just grown to seven. Anyway, the guy who knows the situation is 'Ghostwalker' He is a very helpful guy and posts here:- http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=67537

Agreed. Never say never. In the meatime and leaving team riding aside, was the performance by Craig Cook the best seen by any rider around Foxhall this season. I have been to just a few meetings this season but his effortless style, seemingly just letting the bike to do all the work, was very impressive

Line-ups announced and looks like a cracker. Robert Lambert must start as a pre-meeting favourite but, with Steve Boxall, Adam Eiiis and Lewis Kerr into the mix, who knows? NLRC – Qualifying riders: Charles Wright, Liam Carr (Buxton); Joe Jacobs, Robert Branford (Coventry); Paul Starke, Lewis Blackbird, Ashley Morris (Dudley); Steve Boxall, Ben Morley (Kent); Tom Perry, Adam Ellis (Isle of Wight); Robert Lambert, Lewis Kerr (King’s Lynn); Stefan Nielsen, Jon Armstrong (Mildenhall); Steve Worrall (Stoke). Reserves: Jack Kingston, Shane Hazelden.

Taken from Lakeside website: Vortex Hammers Number 1 Peter Karlsson has suffered a fracture of the T6 vertebra & rib injuries following his shocking heat 15 crash at King’s Lynn on Wednesday evening. All at the club wish PK well for a speedy recovery, his length of absence is undetermined at this stage. Chris Harris will race for the Hammers at Number 1 in next weeks return to the Norfolk Arena (4th September) and two days earlier when the Hammers visit the Poole Pirates which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

I thought they were great and so competitive. I reckon Kyle Bickley is one to watch for the future as we doing with Robert Lambert. He has his own website already and is following in Robert's footsteps by riding on the continent as well. Tender age of eleven just now. However, well done all riders and also to Phil Morris and Neil Vatcher for the work they are putting into developing British riders of the future. -

If it is to be a weekend fixture, the only date I can see is as part of a double header on 17th August, the day Ipswich visit. Next weekend Rye are away both Saturday and Sunday. The week after, Ipswich have obliged fellow Thursday club Redcar by holding their home match on Saturday 10th, the same day Rye host Leicester. Rye visit Leicester the following day.

Could drag on well into the evening. I don't know if anything is happening at the Rye circuit tomorrow, but I thought it would have been better to re-stage the meeting then. Neither side are in action tomorrow and we know the weather forecast is good. We don't know what it will be like on 26th August though.

Might be just as well if it is rained off. Tyson was injured last night at Sheffield and misses what would have been his debut as a Hammer tonight,
-
One solution is closer to home. Get Steve Boxall into the side. Full maximum for Kent last night.
-
Yet, tonight he rode as a guest for Lakeside against Wolves.scoring 5 points from 4 rides. He won heat two then almost brought the house down by leading Freddie Lindgren for 3 laps before the Swedish ace found a way through. I am guessing he got time to practice and, more importantly, advice on set-ups from Davey Watt and PK.

I might go along to this, weather permitting. It will give me chance to pop in to see the new John Lewis beforehand as there are a few household items I need. That is Lewis, not Louis BTW. You know - never knowingly undersold! -

One small crumb of comfort. At least RR for Mear is better the RR for Garrity. All remaining team members are eligible to take his rides instead of just Bunyan and reserves. -

We had to wait a while for the Christmas Cracker but not long for the Summer Cracker. Fantastic meeting.
