Birmingham are at Eastbourne on Saturday for an EL match. Therefore, I am surprised that Kennett and Lambert are turning out for Rye as I thought official fixtures took priority over challenge matches.

I have been checking the fixture list expecting Rye's first home match to be the second leg of the league cup but see it is still shown as the return challenge match. Then I realise why. Those hoping for at least six Rockets on show will be disappointed. Birmingham ride an EL match at Eastbourne the same day so will have first call on Ed and Simon. This works in Sweden where they have heat leaders wearing blue/yellow helmets for some heats. In fact, the Swedish leagues have no toss for gate positions at all except heat 15.. I have done a little digging myself. From what I have found, the Lakeside expansion appears to be south of the A1306 joining Alexandra Lake to the existing centre then creating a new leisure and shopping area with the aim to establish the third largest retail park in the UK.
