  1. Plymouth seem to be in the driving seat now. They have Rye House, Scunthorpe, Newcastle and Berwick at home, Rye House, Redcar and Scunthorpe away, not the strongest of opposition overall. In the meantime, Ipswich have just four meetings left, home to Berwick (who they struggled to beat in the home leg of the KO Cup) and Peterborough, then away to Rye House and Somerset.
  2. Anyone who missed last night's excellent meeting it is already on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kxo790Etnbk
  3. I'm sure you will and you'll still think it is the good life.
  4. Phil Morris had the agreement from the riders to push the meeting through to heat 20. From there, they would not have to progress any further, unless conditions improved. So we wait, but they didn't, thus well done Phil in concluding the meeting as far as he did.
  5. I'm glad you introduced this statistic because in each of Lakeside's four home defeats their 1 - 5 outscored those of the opposition but lost. Last Friday their 1 - 5 still scored more than their opponents but, this time, so did their reserves.
  6. Alan might consider it a bogiehole bearing in mind what he is about to watch!
  7. and he is right. Both Richard and Rory have similar averages so both clubs would be looking at riders such as King, Summers, Wells, Grajczonic, Howarth, Cook, all unavailable tonight.
  8. Steve Boxall dropped and Ashley re-instated subject to approval: http://www.lakesidehammers.co/ash-is-back/
  9. Delayed two hour transmission on British Eurosport 1 from 7pm. Guess the timing has been set to allow folks the opportunity to watch Slovenia v England first.
  10. At present it doesn't appear on Quest's TV schedule.
  11. and a warm coat: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/u12k15uws#?fcTime=1433721600
  12. Can't use a tactical ride in heat 14, only 5 - 12, if that's what you mean.
  13. Clearly wanted the Rockets' supporters feel at home lol.
  14. Its years since I last went to the Cardiff GP but will be this year. Which is the best 'park and ride' to use? I will be travelling from the north-west. I cannot get any sense from Cardiff parking sites apart from times, and cost, and that is extended when there are major events at the Millennium Stadium. Can anyone help?
  15. Great stuff Stef. Also, fellow Belle Vue teammate Max Fricke seems to enjoy these 'under 21' gigs.
  16. I went to Rye House today with their opponents Berwick had three guests plus RR and Rye one guest and RR. Guests and RR doesn't have any impact on the racing, in fact, it enhanced it today with Berwick booking Michael Palm-Toft who went through the card, 17+1. The racing and overtaking/re-overtaking in nearly every heat made it the best meeting I've seen this year.
  17. I'm sure Nikolaj is relieved his bike problems were today and not yesterday. Cracking meeting though and Ed appeared to have heat 15 nailed until, you know what, he looked behind allowing Palm-Toft up the inside at the end of the first lap. One of these days he is going to turn into a pillar of salt like Lot's wife.
  18. Belle Vue would have won anyway as the guests collectively were unlikely to be any better than the riders they replaced. It is quite possible that we shall lose all our remaining fixtures through something we cannot change, weakness at reserve.
  19. It could be worse. Last Monday Lakeside went to Wolves without any of their 1 -5, four guests plus RR then Belle Vue visited on Friday with four guests of their own!
  20. That wouldn't have worked. Charles is a Somerset asset riding on Friday.
