  1. Not necessarily. Woodward has an existing EL average from 2014, 6.32. Also, between May and September he rode as a second string so some allowance may be made.
  2. I believe 8 x 3 has been 24 since the dawn of time! Ed might be 24th just by using final averages (his is 5.86 BTW) but that is not the object of the excercise. It is to evaluate the performance of riders over the course of last season and specifically those who have alternated between heat leader and second string. I have no idea which method is to be used but one way would be to compare monthly averages achieved in both categories then adjust accordingly. The 6.50 figure seems to have become something of a red herring. It only applies to overseas riders entering our EL for the first time.
  3. Unfortunate to use the word fixed but, possibly, apt as far as Poole are concerned. However, I am sure the list has been compiled already and Adam is on it. (which he seldom was at he Raceway last year!)
  4. ..and they could have at any time by creating an extraordinary general meeting beforehand.
  5. I have just dragged this thread from the archives as decision time is getting rather close. If Lakeside are to enter a team into the EL next year it will have to be declared by the weekend of 17th/18th October. No news from the promotion since 16th September so every day that passes makes it look less likely that they will come to the tapes in 2016.
  6. Tom will be 15 next July and is already being tipped to slot into the Eagles' side. I have seen him at Lakeside, more recently Ipswich now today. Most exciting young Brit I've seen since Robert Lambert. Kyle's not that far behind either.
  7. Based on league results this season Belle Vue have the edge.
  8. It wasn't the reserves fault. It was the fault of the system which allocated reserves. There were ten tier one riders available at the start. By the time Poole, King's Lynn, Coventry and Belle Vue had protected their own of the remainder, three rode for Friday PL clubs leaving Birks, Boxall and Roynon. I think Lakeside would have done OK using Birks but sods' law decreed that, once the PL fixture list was issued, he would miss thirteen fixtures due to clashes so they took an early decision to replace him with Boxall who immediately was injured riding for Rye House and, although he attempted comebacks, it was obvious he wasn't fit and eventually ruled out for the season. Later, Birks was reinstated but immediately injured and also out for the remainder of the season.
  9. The Rye House round is due to be re-staged this coming Sunday (20th September) starting at 5pm
  10. How so? Last time Belle Vue went down 41 -49. Since then Cook and Fricke have upped their scoring and, although, Nicholls has slipped down to a second-string, this is a track he likes. Also, no Blackbird now and, being 8th on the EDR list, only the also-rans are available to guest
  11. No it isn't now although it was on their schedule at the time I posted
  12. Current Eurosport TV schedule showing highlights at 9.15pm (BST)
  13. You're right. I jotted down the figures for both clubs then managed to reverse those for Ipswich.
  14. I wonder if Lewis Hamilton might have had something to do with it.
  15. If Plymouth get maximum points from their remaining home fixtures (quite likely I would have thought) they would need only a three point win at Scunthorpe to go level with Ipswich but would get sixth spot by way of superior points difference.
  16. Weather not great for tomorrow as you will be getting the rain which is ruining the UK today. Dackarna v Vetlanda seems to have the better chance. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2673730
  17. Surpised it hasn't been called off already but, maybe, Len is no longer in charge of the weather! Edit: Meeting off.
  18. I know it is around mid-September so I expect you are right.
  19. Ed is due to be riding for Lakeside in their evening fixture at Coventry.
  20. Certainly gives the impression of being a four-man team at home and a three-man team away.
  21. We now know Robin is bound for Sheffield but still no news on the Rye House website. http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.29424
  22. What's going on. This is on the BSPA website but no news on Rye's own. http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.29420
  23. If the fixture were to be put back to 4th September we would be without Mikkel (Danish Junior Championship) and Kim (SGP Challenge).
