In fact Wolves would be missing Bech (Poland) and, possibly, Masters (Edinburgh) although I don't know which club has priority. Anyway the situation has been resolved. The bigger concerns are the two home fixtures against Belle Vue 3rd June and 5th August when AJ and Fricke could both be absent due to Polish Extraleague matches being run the same day. Both ride for Rybnik.

Rye House V Ipswich Witches 9th April

I am hoping to make my first visit to Rye this season. Usually I sit in the temp. stand but I think I read that the existing seating had been removed. Is that still the case? -

..and to think Rye could have signed Rasmus Jensen. He was obviously available as he is now a late replacement for Ty Proctor at Workington. -
Peterborough V Ipswich 28th March 2pm
tocha replied to ZODIAK's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Just a thought but, following the closure of Plymouth and the postponement of the fixture against Ipswich on Monday, I wondered if the Peterborough promotion have yet been approached to see if they are prepared to move to the southern LC group which now consists of just two teams, Rye House and Somerset. -
Our squad is enough for two teams.

We haven't done that well with assets with them falling by the wayside over the years. Our biggest loss was the late Lee Richardson. Others have come and gone including the Davidsson brothers, Peter Ljung whilst we allowed Richard to slip through our fingers. Kim and Robert remain as our current riding assets although who holds Lewis' (Bridger) contract is anyone's guess. I think Jack Kingston is still on our books as might other former riders, Robbo and Kauko.

If Rye are worrying about the loss of NKJ to Peterborough, he scored 3 from 5 rides at Ulrich's meeting at Peterborough today. To put this in perspective, Simon Lambert scored six.

No idea, Bryn, but I hope his comments weren't hard-boiled!

Looking great and if you want an appetiser, the previous evening at the Arena Raceway you can see Ed, Robbo, Ben and Leigh in action. Entry from 6pm, £15 adults, £10 concessions and kids 16 and under free. http://www.lakesidehammers.co/lanhamcompletestrophylineup/

According to today's SS someone who will attend is John Sampford, now as a paying supporter. Clearly, he doesn't bear a grudge so I hope we can give him a warm welcome.

Not yet but I'd like to see a best pairs event.

You are absolutely right. So who the hell is Richard Coulthard lol!

If you want to know who he is, Guy Martin has a new TV series being aired on Channel Four wef. Thursday, 17th March. The first episode has him going head-to-head against Richard Coulthard:

As far as I have been able to deduce, squad systems were not agreed at the AGM. Jon was an advocate for it in order to cut down on the use of guests. I think there have been several discussions since during the weekly promoters' meetings which appear to have resulted in the ruling that two DU riders may share a team place but that is as far as it goes for now. The facility is open to all EL clubs although no-one else has yet has opted for it. However, there aren't that many DU riders for 2016 and of the others, Danny King, Richie Worrall, Robert Lambert, Kyle Newman are EL assets - I don't know the situation regarding Josh Grajczonek and Swindon though. Next, each club has the option to sign a rider #8 but has to be an overseas rider who has not ridden in the EL before and qualifies with a four- point average. Finally, each can name a second tier-two reserve as back-up. So far, Coventry and King's Lynn have done so and, although not yet announced formally, Ben Morley is likely to be included by Lakeside.
-
The 1 -7 includes two DU riders sharing a position in the side, a rider, Dennis Jonsson, named #8 and, although not announced formally yet, it is on the cards that Ben Morley will be drafted in as a tier two back-up rider which equals ten.

Bjarne had a six year run in the GPs from 2003 until 2008. His solitary win was in 2004 although his best place in the series came the following year, 6th.

Any ideas then? KL can't find anyone and Leicester have had to settle for a Lakeside cast-off from 2013.
-
Not just a decent bloke but a very capable one as well. Youth speedway has never been in better hands.
-
Unless the heat format reverts back as it was in 2013 or points scored in both reserves heats are not counted towards averages.

Lincolnshire is a hell of long county. Could be near Boston or way up north in Scunthorpe.

I don't know what the originator of this thread had in mind, is it the 40.5 points limit for 2016 or the 34 set in 2015? If it is the former, then that set in the 1 -5 for 2016 is lower than that in 2015 for seven of the current eight clubs, the exception being King's Lynn. In other words, if the reserves' combined averages exceed 6.5, clubs will have had to build lower than that set in 2015. So far five (possibly six once Lakeside decide which is the 1 -5 next season) are close to the limit with just King's Lynn and Leicester falling short, the former caught out by the late withdrawal of NKI and the latter having dug in their heels opting for an alternative race-night.

Like the song 'It's beginning to look a bit like Christmas,' we're no further forward now than we were six weeks ago.
-
I thought we had a squad anyway but it seems we don't yet after all. It is beginning to look as our 1 -7 includes Swiderski and either Lawson, Nilsson or Kennett. Ed is set to miss the most meetings so, perhaps, he is the one to give way, which would be a shame bearing in mind how good he was at home in 2015. Still, we wait to see what happens next. Stay tuned.

Could be Wally Batty, Chris. They already appear to have Foggy Dewhurst as team manager. I guess you're saying that he is not on the button then.
