  1. Rye don't intend running Saturdays when they clash against the SGP.
  2. Actually, King's Lynn and Coventry are the nearest, 88 miles but not that much further on than Peterbrough, 66 and Ipswich 77. Overall, away support might be better as most of the clubs in the Premiership are closer than in the old PL. For example, Somerset were third in distance previously but, in the new league, only Wolverhampton and Belle Vue are further away.
  3. The Polish Extraleague rules state that riders in their league are permitted to ride in one other league plus their home competition. Because Britain is deemed to be Aussies home competition during our speedway season he is still able to compete in Poland and Sweden.
  4. It could be interpreted in two ways. One is your's the other might be just a comment to say that neither he nor Chris are now riding for Poole.
  5. Read this: http://m.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/scott-outlines-bold-plans-for-rye-house/story-29883976-detail/story.html
  6. NKI has already signed for Gorzow and is likely to be back with Indianerna which would rule him out from riding here.
  7. I don't think he will have been eligible anyway under the new Polish rules. He has signed for Woclaw and Indianerna. Only if he fails to get a team place in the Polish Extraleague in 2017. This is quite apart from the fact that he would miss numerous Wednesday fixtures due the Danish league.
  8. Masarna have tweeted to say Seb Alden and Robert Lambert will be joining them in 2017: https://twitter.com/masarnaspeedway/status/796433901438828548
  9. Definitely not. Stock cars and bangers on Sundays.
  10. Richie Worrall 8.33 Steve Worrall 8.51 Craig Cook 9.88 Max Fricke 9.91. 13.37 left. This is based upon the final figures shown on the BSPA website so may be subject to adjustment.
  11. It is but only just. Coventry stadium is only 5 miles further away, Leicester 17 miles and Swindon 25 miles. Journey times are very similar. In fact, this league will make it far more do-able for the travelling fan based in Hoddesdon. For example Somerset, who were Rye's third closest neighbours in the old PL (along with Sheffield), now become the second furthest away.
  12. Haven't heard anything from Hunter since he started this thread. Perhaps he is hoping to crawl round while no-one is looking and amend its title.
  13. I would just like to point out there is another Rye House thread on the EL section which, hopefully, the administrator will re-name soon.
  14. Not bad although I wouldn't have Kasper as it appears that he will never be able to make starts. The biggest stumbling block could be Andersen. Under the new Polish rules if he rides in the Extraleague he can only compete in his own country and one other - Sweden I expect.
  15. Only Championship clubs are required to include a British 3 pointer.
  16. I can't see any reason why there shouldn't be. The clubs from each division will be much closer in strength now so what might happen is similar to football for example. The team relegated to the Championship tends to lose its top players who choose to remain elsewhere in the Premier League.
  17. I don't think that was the issue. I am guessing he was looking for an alternative day to run, probably Saturday. However, until the diary for stock cars etc. are scheduled for 2017 it would be impossible to commit to either EL or PL.
  18. Sorry about that. I hadn't realised what had been going on earlier in the day.
  19. This has worked out quite well for the organisers. They won't have to give a Swedish rider another wildcard and are saved the embarrassment of handing out two to Denmark. Pedersen and Sayfutdinov are probably nailed on, possibly Zagar as well whilst Janowski will probably miss out inasmuch as Poland will already have three representatives. Even if they went down the route of adding a fourth Pole I expect Hampel would get the nod. Other than that, the selection of the final wildcard is not that clear cut. An easy option would be to include Bjerre but I don't think he has done enough this year to warrant a place.
  20. There take on it was they felt he was deliberately slowing. Greg's reaction was, in essence, left for another day.
  21. I am guessing the confusion over times was that BT had omitted to realise the clocks went forward an hour on 2nd October.
  22. Tonight's fixture was arranged immediately after 10th September following the aggregate win over Berwick. At that time there would have been no expectation that Edward was to participate in the ELRC as Lakeside's representatives were to be Andreas Jonsson and Kim Nilsson. I don't know how late Jonsson left it to pull out. He had recovered from injury as he rode in both legs of the Swedish Play-offs at the end of September so it was possibly with little notice. I also question the absence of Matej Kus as the Czech meeting is on the international speedway calendar for tomorrow but we shall find out very shortly!
  23. They are, Danny King, Craig Cook, Rohan Tungate. Also, Glasgow are riding tonight as well ruling out Richard Lawson and Riche Worrall. This leaves Josh Grajczonek who managed 7 and 9 each from 5 rides on the two occasions Somerset were at Rye House. NBJ scored 13 from 5 when Peterborough visited.
  24. Either the SS has this wrong or the meeting in the Czech Republic has been brought forward a day.
