  1. Plus the fact he spent the whole season riding #4. His form at other tracks is not good either, eg at Rye House his scores were 5 then 3.
  2. If that is the case then it is extremely good news.
  3. About three out of seven. If Scott decides to ride in the Championship it is likely to be with Ipswich. As an asset of Glasgow, Richard will remain there whilst I don't think we shall see Robert back and Robin appears to have retired. Yes, I believe Edward will return and I would be extremely surprised if Ben and Zach are not included. I'm not sure who else though. Lewis (Kerr) seemed to like us and Jon has a great relationship with Kim (Nilsson) despite suggesting an all British line-up. Will former rider, Justin Sedgmen be here in 2018 as well? Those of us who supported the Hammers during the Pete Thorogood years have a good working of the north already, However I think Jon Cook might need one!
  4. Confirmed officially now - change of race night: http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.33584
  5. ...and Jimmy Nilsen, Swedish GP rider in the 90's and early 2000's and one time silver medalist.
  6. Maybe it's a case of once a world champion it guarantees the rider gets a wildcard in all subsequent series' until he retires from the sport.
  7. For the record, Kim 2016 Edward 2015 Richard 2013 2014.
  8. I don't think the organisers will allow a situation whereby there is only one Swede in the series. In the past they have actually given two wildcards when no Swedish rider has qualified on merit. Who that second rider might be I have no idea, Linus Sundstrom or Jacob Thorssell spring to mind or they might see if AJ wants another go. More likely it could be Denmark who has just one representative, NKI or Nicky Pedersen if he can convince them that he is fully race fit. Also, I rule out Holder who has already had a pick for the 2014 series after failing to qualify in the season following his championship win in 2012. Other than that there has been no precedent for having two Aussies in the series as prior to 2014 it has never been needed. Regardless of who deserves a place it is likely to go to:- Hancock Another Swedish rider NKI/Pedersen Vaculik/Milik.
  9. Well how about this? Guest needed for Alfie as Glasgow's opponents are Newcastle whilst a guest required for either Glasgow or Somerset in place of Richard Lawson. In all this, why an earth are Glasgow riding on a Friday anyway?!
  10. Belle Vue v Wolves postponed tonight and rearranged this Friday. No Bewley nor Smith here then.
  11. I trust we are right. This is what I found on the young lions website: https://www.younglionsspeedway.co.uk/riders/jason-edwards/
  12. Jason Edwards is ineligible anyway as he is not fifteen until the 14th October.
  13. We have the first leg of the PO semi v Belle Vue this Friday, 29th September.
  14. Jacob Thorrsell was to be missing tonight as he was scheduled to ride in Sweden (PO semi), postponed from yesterday. However, this was called off again around lunchtime. Does this mean he is able to turn out for Wolves after all?
  15. ..and that is exactly the problem as far as Lakeside are concerned. Joining the NL very late in the day meant that promising youngsters had already been lined up by established clubs, David Mason was signed because there was no-one else who could hold down a third heat leader position at that time and had we retained George Hunter he might still be 'entertaining' us now. Also,at that time, George was scoring very little anyway. In fact, we were lucky that Alfie came good although it has been to our detriment that he has missed so many meetings through fixture clashes with Newcastle. From the Hagon Academy Jason Edwards will be fifteen on 14th October and lives locally. Nathan Ablitt is a year and a half younger but, based in Sussex, is likely to end up at Eastbourne.
  16. Still on Premier Sports schedule: http://www.premiersports.com/ So we wait to see.
  17. Thanks Dave. Seems I am paying a subscription for nothingI Available via Sky channel 424
  18. It appears that both televised matches this week are to be delayed transmissions on Premier Sports starting 10pm UK time.
  19. He rode in Sweden because the Elitserian fixture has been in the diary from the beginning of their season.
  20. What gives is this:- A Rider must be released to take part in a higher priority Meeting, unless he is “Doubling Up”, in which case the priority for a clash of Official Meetings is as follows: a) The Original Fixture if there is a clash with a re-arranged Fixture b 1 st priority to the owner of the rider c) 2 nd priority to the previous season club d) 3 rd priority to the league in which the owner club is a member. ..although I don't know how Rye House have retained the services of Stuart Robson unless it has been by mutual agreement.
  21. Whilst on the discussion of riders, Peterborough take on Newcastle this Wednesday and is an original fixture. Belle Vue v Rye House isn't, which implies that Steve Worrall, Chris Harris, and Stuart Robson will have to ride in the Championship meeting.
  22. Although there is an existing thread of sorts, recent posts relate to the away match on Thursday. Preview taken from Rye House Website: Next up for the Rockets, then, is another huge fixture tomorrow night (Tuesday) at home to A10 adversaries King’s Lynn. Says Barker ahead of the meeting, “If we can get the three points, then it’s REALLY close and we’ll be in touching distance. We all believe we can complete the job and make the Play-Offs, and then we’ll go again from there. “I’m really looking forward to tomorrow night against King’s Lynn – in fact I’m looking forward to all my remaining matches. I’m loving being a Rocket, so it’s all systems go from here.” BMR Rockets: Ben Barker, Chris Harris, Krzysztof Kasprzak, Ben Morley, Scott Nicholls (captain), Stuart Robson, Ricky Wells King’s Lynn: Josh Auty, Kai Huckenbeck, Tomas H. Jonasson, Thomas Jorgensen, Robert Lambert (captain), Simon Lambert, Michael Palm Toft Tuesday night’s admission at Rye House: Adults £18, Seniors (over 60s) £16, Full Time Students (17-22) £10, Children (12-16) £6, Children (under 12) Free. Match Programme £2.00. Start time: 7.30 prompt! Should be a routine win for Rye but you never know!
  23. No thread yet. Preview taken from Lakeside website: http://www.lakesidehammers.co/hammers-v-fen-tigers-preview/ This is a vital match for the Hammers and could define their season. Anything but a win then it is curtains for the play-offs I feel.
  24. Some doubt over Cameron for tonight. He had a bad crash at Ipswich yesterday and was taken to hospital where he spent the night. He is suffering muscle/ligament damage.
