Prior to this I had a look at Spedeworth's fixture list and they don't have any meetings at Foxhall for the weekend 21st/22nd April. Saturday meetings have proved popular in the past so might have been a choice. Of course, there may be maintenance work being carried out at the stadium that weekend. -

I doesn't look as if the June 14th KOC fixture will now take place. Yesterday I received a press release email in confirmation but, this morning, it isn't on either club's fixture list whilst the latest news item on the Hammers website states that the date for their away leg is yet to be confirmed. -

Judging by the current weather maps this meeting might go ahead as long as they get on with it promptly and even then they may have to declare after heat 10. As far as the rest of tomorrow and Monday goes the weather could wipe out the entire fixtures scheduled for those days. Poole have already postponed their match against Somerset tomorrow. -
I see they have removed the ridiculous ruling which prevents a team from being able to use an injury rider replacement when already running RR and which cost you guys the KO Cup last year.

Paul Hurry has slipped out of the line-up leaving an individual competition with 12 riders. 13 would have been better because now it means riders (possibly 2 or 3) meet each other twice. http://www.lakesidehammers.co/one-week-until-tapes-up/

The cat is out of the bag now so to speak. This week's Star has an article on the subject whereupon it appears Kim is owed in excess of £5000 by Lakeside from 2016. They must have contacted Jon Cook in advance of its publication but says he was unaware of the situation but has reported it on to Stuart Douglas who states the matter is in hand.
-
He states the amount owing is from three different clubs indicating by means of flag that they are spread between the UK and Sweden during the period 2015 to 2017. He quotes three currencies, firstly in Kroner (Sweden are not in the Euro-zone) but then in Euros and Sterling presumably to better illustrate the extent of the overall debt.

You should be able to field an individual event over 16 heats without any rider meeting more than once.

Nick is on the list to ride: http://www.lakesidehammers.co/all-star-line-up-for-hammers-opener/

It seems very odd to me as well. On a more general note, there is a thread regarding this subject on the 'Speedway News and Discussions' section. Further comments should go there as they are not relevant to the Lakeside 2018 thread. '

Details of opening meeting announced, Spring Classic: http://www.lakesidehammers.co/all-star-line-up-for-hammers-opener/ Season ticket valid for this event.

There couldn't be a clash unless Peterborough decided to ride on a Monday or Wednesday

Just to set the record straight, Jon Cook did not get the averages wrong. Back in November and immediately after the AGM, to which he was not invited as he was neither a Premiership nor Championship promoter at that time, he let the BSPA know he intended signing Ed Kennett and Ben Morley so asked what averages they would come in on. He was told he couldn't sign Ed but for Ben it would be his PL average from 2016. From this he deduced that the same situation would apply to Zach Waijknecht

For those who were unable to attend last evening's fans forum, the main points discussed are here: http://www.lakesidehammers.co/forum-overview/

Max might yet find himself back at Edinburgh now that they have been unsuccessful in securing Luke Becker.
-
They are all there Steve apart from Ben and Zach who didn't ride in the CL last year.

Not JC's job I would imagine but something to be raised at next Friday's forum.

A Poole fan still smarting from a 60 - 30 drubbing last year but, to agree he is right. Little news emerges from the Website and not a lot of improvements to the stadium had been apparent in 2017 and it is in a far worse state than when Len left it.
-
Difficult to say. The fact that Lawson rode for Somerset last season could imply Somerset will get the nod if the 2017 regs remain. However, as Somerset are riding on a non-allocated PL race day might tip the balance in favour of Lakeside.

Opening fixture 23rd March, Spring Classic in memory of Lee. Details on main website. Also, PL and CL fixture list out tomorrow and in this week's Star.
-
They cannot run on Wednesdays exclusively but I expect they will use as many as they can then have a few on Mondays. Just like Poole I would imagine.
-
They did run several fixtures on Wednesdays last season so that might be their day of choice.

..and Rye House loved it on 10th August. I know, I was there.
