  1. Teams who win leagues in the main are better than the others. Inevitably passing will be at a premium on home tracks. Ashfield is A1 as a track. Shawfield was brill for atmosphere superb double double seasons live with me forever. Many a meeting was no passing as Glasgow were so good then . Not many complaints about passing then. I am sure most fans want their riders to be first and second out of the 2nd bend . Complaints about standard of racing tend to come from losing teams support
  2. Very many good riders worked and raced in the 80s 90s and early 2000s.So wouldn't be too bad for the sides who sadly don't have the infrastructure to compete hence the reason averages are dropped every year to keep them competitive
  3. Glasgow and Poole should be in main league and allow the rest to go back to the days of semi pro riders
  4. Genuine question for the sages on here. Could the Tigers be looking like bottom 3 side
  5. Workington should win easily on the evidence so far
  6. It is fine building a team of racers but no league is ever won without a top class rider who gates for fun
  7. Having been there tonight a scunthorpe side outwith the very impressive Ryan Douglas not good enough to beat a Glasgow side with young Ace improving week on week . Scorpions don't lose at home I was told before hand.
  8. This is utter deflection from a very good Glasgow performance and TBH the team barring injury is the best in the league
  9. If The Tigers don't win the league with this side I be amazed . Huge home wins on the cards
  10. Let's be honest I as a glasgow fan of too many yearsI have forgotten, history tells us a win at Poole is just never on the agenda.Probably exceeded expectations in my view last night.Track conditions have bound to be different over the years so it is really irrelevant result always the same home win
  11. An outstanding speedway meeting on a smooth track. Fair does to Poole for an away team to ride the high line was exceptional. Suggest Glasgow riders should be practising behind closed doors how to do it otherwise trouble ahead. Young riders excelling .Older ones especially Ulrich possibly taking too much on
  12. My goodness the commentator has no idea re cussing has flint in heat 2 and ollie Allen doesn't correct both should be binned to give this any creditablility
  13. Very decent scores at Armadale. Vital in the course of the season. Massive Poole win there last season. Major contribution to the point the reason of the score was D.Hume
  14. I suspect a large Glasgow home win and be able to defend at Poole. After all Edinburgh have got good riders for Ashfield and in last couple of matches not near it. Not sure that Poole quite at the Edinburgh level at Ashfield
  15. British speedway fans jeez oh if we were counting in old money pre decimal would be moaning if a farthing was too much
  16. We couldn't win the league with a right on top of his game in Craig Cook , a flying Rasmus Jensen and a seriously decent rider in Claus Vissing so spot on re this team no chance
  17. Not surprised Glasgow lost in the slightest, the margin is too much for any thoughts of success, another loss tomorrow for sure and not infeasible on Sunday as well .Hoping for miracles from a new lad to prevent a sorry end to the season
  18. OK understand your re the forum being speedway but announcements can take their place in the queue
  19. Who cares who is being announced before or after the meeting or who wins a speedway meeting. Mental health issues are so prevalent nowadays they are far more important
  20. Great to see Eastbourne back in Speedway at high level,I shall watch with interest over the rest of the season to see if similar conditions prevail. All the Glasgow win at all costs moaners suspect Eastbourne have a similar will to win
  21. Raise a glass for me Paulco. Only met him a few times in Horseshoe with you .He was a sound bloke. Footie for me first then rush to ashfield so hopefully catch later.
  22. When Nike Lunna and Dan Bewley both got injured was the beginning of the end. Both were rarely if ever last at ashfield and were the engine room of the team The heat leaders are always vulnerable in any team. 2nd strings and reserves win trophies for most teams
