Haven’t checked, but from memory I think that was THJ having a joke!

There's only one Worky...

Very happy with this signing. All those hard yards of 2018 were starting to bear fruit towards the end of the season. Plus, with presumably more two-point level riders around for this campaign, we can look to decent progress for Kyle. Kudos also to the club management, which never flickered in its backing last year.

Scunthorpe v Workington. Knockout Cup Final 1st Leg
Fourentee replied to Tosh1218's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I believe he finished fourth one year under the impression that would suffice (“I thought I was sweet!”) only to find out afterwards it was top three! Don’t know if it’s changed again subsequently, but obviously academic now after that state second place did the trick. -
Worky v scunny koc leg 2

Puk used to do it regularly if frustrated during his season at Wolves. As for the Rasmus/Jason tight finish, being on bend one I immediately looked to the grandstand where the majority of fans were on their feet cheering so clearly thought that Rasmus had edged it. A brilliant night and commiserations to Scunthorpe, whose riders battled to the end and whose supporters likewise cheered them on beyond the point when the result looked inevitable. Hope Jason isn't too badly hurt -- it looked a heavy tumble -- and good to chat with Lucifer Sam. Onward to Rye House! -

Extraordinary. Just extraordinary. Delighted for the team but have to offer commiserations to Monarchs fans as that result must be awfully hard to take. Can't imagine how I'd feel in similar circumstances. -

As I understand it, a win tonight (or at Newcastle, but hopefully it won't come to that) would suffice. -

I wasn't there, but I don't see it in the way you're pondering. Sacrificing two points deliberately to prevent an if-but-perhaps three doesn't work for me. In the double-point days, maybe. -

Yes, R/R in a double-header will always be a touch gruelling and I gather there had been plenty of rain too. For anyone who was there, how did the track hold up? It looked fabulous in the pic Steve Lawson tweeted earlier in the week after putting down all the new shale. -

It's mentioned on the Wolves website match report, so presumably no! -

Well, Tungate had been beaten only by Lambert whereas Fricke had twice lost to Iversen including the heat 13 5-1. So you pays your money and you takes your choice. Would normally have expected Fricke, but I wasn’t there! Have to say Lemon generally comes across as a very shrewd team manager as far as I’m concerned. -

The British Statistical Plainspeaking Association? Actually this could be a thing. What should BSPA stand for? *Lights fuse and runs for cover*

Get a coffee inside you, Steve! Can't tackle stats at this time of day otherwise.

More than poor Rene can do at the moment! As you say, dislocation rather than break. Still painful. Get well soon.

No thanks. No offence to Connor, a talented young man and one who hopefully has a good future in the sport, but we've already got one of those who is, IMHO, a better prospect, four years younger and lives round the corner!

On-site parking at Wolves is free and steward-directed on entrance. Hope you enjoy your visit.

1. No. 2. Therefore not applicable. 3. Next question.

Right, got you. Hopefully Kyle can benefit from this season of Championship experience. Of course he wants to do well, as indeed would any young rider, especially for his local club. Fans appear to be behind him and that's always helpful.
