  1. Some assumptions in there my friend The statement on the Dudley website states the ref made a note of the Bates situation. That, surely, means one of two things. Either the ref believes the Mildenhall team was illegal but was not certain so couldn't make a statement of fact before the meeting so he/she has had to raise it him/herself with the SCB, or Dudley raised it before the meeting to make the ref aware. How about option 3 the referee was told after the event? or option 4 was happy that Mildenhall were O.K. - The key option, however, would be for the referree to announce that Dudley were riding under protest. As for harping on about Mildenhall breaking rules before a) This states back to the firm evidence that you had on a time change that was I believe summed up in final conclusion by a Dudley statement that said "we were led to believe" or words to that effect b)Didn't somebody on here explain that the BSPA cannot dictate a start time? But if a rule was ignored why was it then not punished? Let's draw a line under all this and move on, until the next time Dudley go to the BSPA and whinge that life is unfair and they want dates or something changed. Kev
  2. I agree with some of what you say. Let's just take your if - two points: 1) Points deductions would be difficult, what would happen if a side either did not ride or rode in another league? 2) Did I not read somewhere that Kevin Jolly was quite categorical that Josh had been sanctioned by Peter Morrish & I believe the BSPA - if so then surely that is either another twist or the end of the matter. Separately, as for the part of the Dudley statement: “It is quite clear we could have objected on the day to the use of Josh but that would not have been fair on the Mildenhall and Dudley fans who had paid to watch the meeting. Indeed, had we done that, than we could accept an accusation of dirty tricks Weasel words indeed, and I am surprised that you hang your hat on them. Let me explain why. As the team had been on here since Thursday 4/10 & would have been with Dudley at least 24 hours prior to the meeting why not raise then? Isherwood could have ridden then and we would not have this conversation, both sets of supporters would have seen the requisite number of riders - lets be clear on this if it was not fair to fans before the meeting, nothing has changed - except that Josh Bates scored more points than perhaps was expected. Your team managers post meeting words was most gracious in defeat - reading through the statement he would surely have been aware of the Bates situation at that time, what then changed?. Sorry none of this seems to add up. Also: “It has been brought to our attention that Mildenhall were informed, in writing, by the British Speedway Promoters’ Association that Josh Bates could not be brought back into the side Would be interested to hear where that came from. In addition as has been explained on here from one of your fellow supporters before the rules seem to state that protests should be made befor the meeting? Why would Dudley be prepared to break this rule, until it no longer suited them? An interesting point that is not clear is when in the referee's report did the point about Bates be mentioned e.g. after the meeting? Kev
  3. Spot on HT, the only thing ever missing are facts and common sense - they must really enjoy being miserable. Heathhen 1 gets the competition completely wrong and then wants their team to lose - and still doesn't get either point. Followed by Jamesbabe with: Its all presumptions at the moment but the 19th is reserved for Somerset play-off final, so wouldn't it just be done all all innocent lol, if the final was Somerset-Workington. Don't really matter what competition it is reserved for both teams should be at full strength. As they say you gota beat the best to be the best. Tom Perry Rides for Somerset a Friday track and Ashley Morris rides for Workington a Saturday track Now if it is a Leicester v Edinburgh final presumably Mildy would be without Lewis Blackbird & Dudley would be at full strength - so don't believe he thought that through very well at all as Mildy would be the side penalised. Whats the suggestion we wait until the PL play offs are decided? With the crap weather I would have thought we needed to take the earliest workable dates or meetings might not get run at all. Would be nice for once to actually get some positive threads from Dudley, are a good side side with mainly good support. Kev
  4. Great stuff Phil, at least two clubs in the NL show common sense can prevail, and in these economic times a good boost for all. Good also that the club continues in the correct manner and finalises details before going into print - before we get the usual conspiracy theory and supposition rubbish. Kev
  5. Thanks for the notice FT saved me the journey. Suspect you are right on double header if possible would make sense. Kev
  6. Not questioning anything just replaying your own words in the post - you support your team by hoping they lose. Sorry, just don't get it. Kev
  7. Glad that you are now happy. The world does not exist solely to be unfair to Dudley, although after some of the shenanigans on here I am sure some may say regrettably but of course not I. I trust you and Heathhen1 will also read the post immediately above yours and then have the good grace to apologise to all for wasting our time with 2 pages spawned by yet more inaccurate information and supposition. Shan't imagine that many will sit here waiting though. Kev
  8. Is there no end to this Dudley whingeing - first you want start times altered now you want dates altered to suit you! - the thread name says it all, just remove the question mark. Heathhen 1 you would rather see Stoke beat Dudley if you can't get your own way? Unbelievable, support your team you are at the top because you have a good TEAM. Firstly Mildenhall still have to beat IOW and Dudley have to beat Stoke so why assume anything. Secondly if it runs on the 19th and Mildy and Dudley win through then both sides have to step up to the plate with what they have - what else do you want? move the dates if there are any unfortunate injuries or somebody has bike problems?. Let me ask you 1 question - would Dudley do it to suit another club? Would Man U do it for Man City or indeed any other sport Mildenhall have a limited number of dates when the track can be run, and after recent seasons try not to run after any stock / banger meetings the night before to ensure good racing tracks and safety which further limits dates. Greyhoundp get real your "stance" suits who? oh yeah Dudley. Let the BSPA decide, let me see who allegedly has influence there? The rules on dates from what I understand are really quite clear and I cannot see what rules you think are being trangressed, if none then why such a pointless thread? Kev
  9. Doing great berniev quality side to watch this year and brought some good young uns through, hopefully you will get a new stadium of your own and the likes of Norwich, Bristol who also have good catchment area's and would get a good fan base resurface. Kev
  10. Maybe the arrogance that tends to slip out so often - and I quote from your own Mr Greyhound P: Many would have liked us to have taken on the favourites <Mildenhall> first, and got them out of the way. We are indeed honoured that you wish to allow us on the same track as Dudley as the warm up act on your way to world domination, we will do our best to give you a match and make it worthwhile for those from Dudley who turn up, even if there are any sober ones . Struggling to understand why you can't understand why nobody likes you Kev P.S. Montie to replace Mr Morrish and take over from Cameron
  11. Spot on adz - I would be more worried if no other teams wanted our riders wouldn't say much for our riders would it. Couldn't quite understand the question. Based on that presumably Kings Lynn promotion or fans wouldn't want any other teams riders either - although looking at League tables there may be the odd one that could do a job and pull the crowds in Kev
  12. Didn't see her there yesterday BW although she could have been behind the scenes. Would be surprised if she is just not bothered, is one of the few promoters that will come on here and put us right when we get it wrong and give a genuine opinion, will be a loss to the sport if she does have to sell up or even worse close up. A very hard season for Buxton, only a couple of seasons since they brought us the likes of Morris & Branford and were a quality team in a better economic environment. Despite the big scoreline there was some good racing. Kerr great guest can't add much to what has been said about him - certainly wouldn't mind seeing him at Mildy if the young Stars didn't run, Blacklock very entertaining ( not sure Stefan would have thought so in Ht 3, but full credit to Blacklock in making sure Stef was O.K. after the spill ) and great to see our old friend Deano always on the pace and picking up a deserved paid 8. Wish Buxton well and hope that they will be back in 2013. Kev
  13. Two good sides Shadders. Reserves possibly Dudley to shade, although TRD has come in very well in the last couple of meetings, if he can gate with the rest he is a real battler and Gareth will be pushing hard after his bad injury last year. If Cam returns Mildy have a strong Top 4, Lewis has come back with a bang. I think the difference could be Dan Halsey - if he rides like he can take Mildy to shade it. I expect 4 tight meetings though and good entertainment for the neutrals. Kev
  14. Not how it appears to read - Taken from the NL Declaration Sheet on the BSPA website: NEG Not Eligible to Guest as has achieved 4.00 or above in PL (S.R. 18.2.2 g) A NL Guest (any Rider eligible for a NL Team) but who has never achieved an actual PL CMA of 4.00 or above Kev
  15. According to the BSPA declarations Birks is NEG - either the website is wrong or something smelly here methinks.
  16. Great news, Aaron was very unlucky not to have been included from the start of the season. Welcome back m8
  17. LOL - Retrospective straw clutching methinks As Adz said suspect he will move up full time next year, although as option 2 we could wait a few years until he rides PL as Ht leader and has a 5.37 Elite average, thankfully being Speedway that's never gonna be allowed to happen. Kev
  18. Heard a whisper from a bloke down the pub whose sister once worked near Mildenhall that we were trying to move to a 3pm start What happened to the "integrity" Malc trumpeted a couple of post's up? perhaps the last team talk undid all of that and Simon came to his senses. Need some more Bic's from e-bay soon Malcolm all these forms you have been filling in, while you are at it maybe get some oil while your'e at it because the revolving door might soon develop a squeak. Can't write Stoke off, they proved a couple of weeks back that they can all dig in when needed so no matter who turns up I would expect a tough meeting Best of luck to Simon at Rye, always been quality at West Row, will be good to see you finally make the step up and kick on. Kev
  19. Fair play on your perception, 15+1 v Stoke from 6 and 16+1 v Mildy from 6 last night - can't argue with you on that. Kev
  20. Conditions sound a bit crap, but not sure looking at Updates it was a great win. However, well done to Dudley. Reading into the reporting looks like Mildy Kerr with 2 + 1 not where Cam would have been - shame Irving was crocked I am sure the result would have been a bit closer, Number 6 slot needs to be sorted and fast but excellent efforts from Joe backed up by Lewis and Stefan - Dan continues to be a bit of an enigma. For Dudley, Roynon being beaten twice at home, Morris & Bekker ably supporting but then comes the interesting part - Perry will move up from reserve and I suspect his average will start to slip ( apart from the extra rides also you miss the reserve switches to take out the TR like Ht 8 tonite ) and the rest? Greenwood getting a paid win when he should have been excluded ( according to Heathen Txter - and fair play for the non-bias reporting ) and very little from the rest. Is the Dudley bubble about to burst? On paper unquestionably the strongest team in the league - but are cracks appearing? Take the point though that with 7 rides for Perry the scoreline tonight could have been extended, however, a fit Cam, Dan to finish the season as he did last and a settled number 6 and Mildenhall could well yet be the better balanced side in the run out to the end of the season. Pleanty more racing to come Kev
  21. I suspect nobody answers because you do not listen. Answer your own question - you even provided the link: Heathens Chairman Nigel Pearson said: “We were led to believe" Now not a legal beagle but it doesn't appear to be far away from "Once upon a time" - not the clear cut cast iron agreement that some on here would have had us believe and if the BSPA can attempt to make a ruling involving something like that, which sounds more like it could have been a chance conversation between a couple of people over what could happen, then god help us all. Can you change it? If not move on in life it's happened. As for the nonsense talk about Tuesday, Mildenhall will be without Cam, will Blackbird be there who knows - but like Sunday hardly going to give a reflection of the 2 teams. Take a balanced view of the third tier - Perry still at reserve mid August ( and not the only one ), quite within the rules as they stand - but in a league of 8 I would suggest that anybody who takes winning the National league as that pivotal in life should maybe get out more. Totally agree with the posts above, riders in this league are here to improve, great when they get Pl rides - as long as there are rules that mean NL clubs can get cover for them. Kev
  22. No idea m8, my posts are my view only. Credence to Dudley with no apparent evidence to back it up? you are easily pleased do you know that the word gullible is not in the Collins English disctionary! Perhaps the promotion learned a lesson on preperation time from that? The Stoke match eventually started around 4.45 although TBF there was rain just prior to 3 o'clock not sure what caused the lengthy delay. Crowd looked well down too, again not sure what effect that would have had - with no disrespect to Dudley Rhidassa made a very good point for the floating Mildenhall area supporters about regular starts, you have to keep the locals happy. As it has been established a third party advertised an earlier start time, so doesn't appear that Mildenhall have reneged upon anything. I seem to recall Mildenhall moving a start date last year so Stoke? ( or Scunny ) could track their best riders, so doesn't really back up your other point. With my Mildenhall hat on the preferred option but with so many rain offs and the squeeze on dates I suspect would be impossible. Garrity and Irving guesting should give a fairly well matched meeting ( Perry not being there is a non Speedway issue ) so I expect a fairly close meeting. Kev
