  1. He's talking rubbish. Doyle only has Swindon meetings and a couple of GPs left. He's done in Poland and Sweden. Probably his quietest spell of the season.
  2. I walked in with a rucksack full of food and drink and it wasn't even checked. I kind of wish I'd been stopped and refused entry as it would have saved me from the three and bit hours of torture that followed.
  3. He didn't blow any engines and he wasn't ill. The other three things probably had a bearing. This is British Speedway, we'll never know the truth. We're not worthy of it. Sad, pathetic sport run by a bunch of old dinosaurs wearing their sad git BSPA tie and blazer combinations.
  4. One of the most poorly run meetings I've ever attended. 13 heats run in two hours. In the meantime I watched 10 heats from Zielona Gora on my phone in half the amount of time whilst waiting for something to happen at Owlerton. The great thing about not having a team anymore is that you can make a decision to never go to a track ever again and stick to it without feeling guilty.
  5. There was nothing wrong with his equipment. He didn't fancy the track apparently and there is word his ban might kick in soon so maybe that contributed to the toys coming out of the pram. I've defended him in the past but he was thoroughly unprofessional today which, according to what Cook bangs on about constantly, is completely against the Glasgow ethos.
  6. Good decision. I'm watching ZG v Wroclaw on my phone to remind myself that speedway doesn't have to be as crap as it is in the UK.
  7. Now on an early interval due to extensive track work as the riders are moaning. Another place on the growing list of tracks I'm never visiting again. Absolutely dead in the water the sport in this country.
  8. 20 quid for this crap. Assume the riders aren't earning any money looking at the effort they're putting in. Another meeting that wants putting out of its misery.
  9. Dreadful meeting it must be said. Should have stayed in bed. Don't think I can cope with a wobble fest at Wolves on the way home. British Speedway eh!
  10. I believe it was actually three minutes. Beating the record of 15 mins in which their previous home meeting sold out.
  11. You've got to laugh at people moaning. Even poor races are good at the NSS. At least the riders are going fast and it looks like speedway. Far better than the bumbling, wobbling and locking up at the vast majority of laughable tracks we have to put up with in this country. There's now been at least a couple of races that most UK tracks couldn't even get close to in terms of excitement.
  12. Brilliant atmosphere. On a par with ZG where we went earlier in the season, possibly a touch better. Went into the pits after the meeting. Madsen getting mobbed like an absolute God. The atmosphere is so intense in Poland that even processional races are entertaining.
  13. Thanks, unfortunately PayU, which I've used umpteen times before, only offers Bank Transfer or Blik as the payment methods rather than Credit Card which it normally offers. Bank Transfer or Blik are no good to me, so I'll have to take my chances on the day.
  14. Yes shouldn't be a problem. Just prefer to have a ticket in hand so we can just walk in when we get there. Got the Wroclaw tickets sorted for Sunday so all good for that one.
  15. Tried an email a couple of days ago, not heard anything yet. Will keep an eye out on Monday. Thanks.
  16. Any idea if Czestochowa tickets can be bought online ahead of Friday? Can't seem to find anything online.
  17. The answer to that is nobody. Apart from maybe Starman who thinks others are jealous of Poole winning this highly prestigious competition. The worst meeting I've ever seen at Peterborough. British Speedway is dead from the neck down and anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.
  18. Cook went charging up the inside of bend one. It is still a bit bumpy there. He carried too much speed into the corner and nailed Josh. No point getting upset about it. Josh was fine with it as Cook apologised.
  19. Trcak is much better to be fair. Decent match. Seen way worse. Suspected appendicitis for NBJ.
  20. From Grajczonek at the press conference, 'Cookie hit the bumps, came across the turn, took me out, apologised'. No further action. Case closed.
  21. That's a shame, that was shaping up to be a great race. Cook certainly shut the door. Difficult to see the full picture from the grandstand over to bend two though. It's actually been a much better meeting since the enforced break.
  22. It's not too bad. Still looks a bit bone rattling on the inside of bend one. Heat 11 a great race between Toft and Holder.
  23. Dreadful week for the sport up and down the country that's exposed lack of medical cover at UK meetings. Peterborough did manage it quite well on Monday, with the presenter interviewing anyone he could get his hands on, but the crowd are being left to get agitated here.
  24. At Peterborough on Monday the paramedic managed to get to hospital and back in the time it's taken to do the last two heats here. Thank god I haven't got to drive home after the meeting. No idea what NBJ has done but he looked fine 25 minutes ago at the top of the grandstand when I chucked some money in his collection bucket. Now he needs a hospital trip?!!
