  1. I kind of blame Martin for that. He seemed to lose all his momentum on the outside and invited the move with Lindgren under pressure from Dan. Certainly not a malicious move from Fred.
  2. Really the refs best option would have been to exclude Thorssell as the faller after the decision in heat 3. Certainly, Thomson should have been his 3rd choice.
  3. I love that everyone, quite rightly, agrees that Zmarzlik was correctly excluded in heat 3, yet there would be all kinds of outrage going on had the roles been reversed
  4. This season is absolute comedy gold, even by British Speedway's standards
  5. Zmarzlik will be petrified about a GP in Belle Vue. What did he drop, something like 1 point in 14 rides in SON 2021?
  6. Spot on. He had a small track in his back yard when he was a kid, hence why he has such tremendous throttle control and the ability to turn the bike so hard. Clearly had that not been the case he may have had to consider riding in the UK regularly to develop those skills.
  7. Time can cloud memories. Did they ever really 'bang elbows' as you put it? The only thing that springs to mind is Tony knocking Nicki off in Berlin accidentally. Incidents, racing and genuine controversy between those riders was few and far between. Many of the seasons that featured those riders, someone got hold of the series lead from the first round and retained it all year. Certainly, none of them produced a final of such breathtaking on the edge brilliance, as some of the finals Zmarzlik seems to churn out on a yearly basis, apart from Gollob on Jimmy Nilsen in Wroclaw 1999.
  8. Yes the WC should be more important. It does infuriate me that they don't earn the money in the WC though when we see blokes knocking coloured balls around a green table earning millions.
  9. He'd do it again next time whether he nutted him or not. That clown Boyce punching Gollob didn't stop Tomasz dive bombing people in epic style for nearly two decades.
  10. They show the passion in the ekstraliga, where they earn far more money than the pittance on offer for winning a GP.
  11. Only if he got to use that format where he came off gate 1 all night. Some riders won less world titles than they should have done (Nielsen), some won way more...
  12. It was unlikely, fishy almost, that he went from a solid middle order rider that always needed a wild card to that sort of form. And he is Russian and the brother of a convicted cheat so, ya know....
  13. Get the rose tinted specs on and remember the good old days. Of boring Rickardsson wins where he creamed off titles in that bizarre format where he got to come off gate 1 all night and had it won half way through the year. Of Pedersen winning it by a mile in 2007 and 2008. Hancock leading from start to finish in 1997, 2011, I'm sure Crump did the same at least one year but we'll all have blocked it out of our minds because it was so boring I mean the only rider that can lay legitimate claim to being involved in as many classic finals as Zmarzlik is Gollob, and the clowns on here hated him as well
  14. Lol he didn't stand up to him at all. They both won 5 GPs and each gave as good as they got passing each other multiple times in the process. The difference at the end was 5th place and a win and 4th place and a win in the last two GPs. Laguta's credentials are one unlikely title win and not even qualifying for the series on merit in any other year, while Zmarzlik's are a GP medal in 6 out of 7 seasons and comfortable qualification the other season. Top of the ekstraliga aves 7 out of the last 8 years?
  15. What's that, something like 44 straight GPs where Zmarzlik has made at least the Semi? And that's with or without the Russians in it. Until someone else finds that formula they aren't going to challenge him. The argument about tracks is a nonsense. Ask any of these riders where they would want GPs staged and they would pick these Polish tracks. Where would you stage them where he wouldn't compete? Hold it at Monmore and he'd still win. He can stop the bike on a dime better than all of them. We had one on a German track as rough as a badgers arse and he beat them. We hold a round on a dodgy little track at Cardiff and he's made the final five times out of five visits. He's consistently achieved on every track and type of track that this series is staged on.
  16. Maybe so. They still get the opportunity in the Ekstraliga to best him, which they haven't mastered yet. Emil is closest but Zmarzlik picked him off twice at Lublin a fortnight ago and made him look like he was riding a bicycle.
  17. I think it's the sacking by text that has particularly irked him. I mean, I don't see how anyone sensible could disagree with the team change. Sacking by text is a bit Hortonesque though.
  18. Which is another bone of contention in the posts. Don't be surprised if he doesn't turn a wheel for Brum now.
  19. It's the posts from Mrs Thompson regarding Dan being sacked via text message, and the revelation that Leicester as a club are sporadic payers at best that are particularly damning.
  20. He should have laid it down and played the game. Or, you know, show some balls and race Doyle must have been to the Verstappen school of driving. He has someone alongside him that actually has a wheel ahead when they get to the turn, and he expects them to disappear into thin air.
  21. Yes, it's as conclusive as it gets, some bloke on twitter that hates Zmarzlik and has 22 followers has started a poll and got the answer he desired You lot are hilarious It was a 50-50 call which Doyle rolled the dice on. Can't blame him as he might have won the re run had it gone his way.
