Walasek for Andersen according to the star.

King's Lynn V Coventry Wed 19th August

The problem is, the video replay suggested that the referee was wrong to exclude Sarjeant. -
Don't think so. Their top five will eat ours for breakfast and our reserves are bound to chuck some daft points away. 40-50 at best.

Well, us Bees fans have been telling you lot for weeks that this team isn't capable of winning meetings like this against fellow contenders and you've now seen it for yourselves. Heat leaders (term used loosely) all badly exposed and Andersen still crap at second string. Even allowing for the heat 12 shambles we got exactly what we deserved. If that was a Playoff semi first leg we'd now be as good as out with an unmarketable second leg to go with the now unmarketable Wednesday night league match against the sparrows. Even allowing for a signing to replace Robbo, you can't win a thing with Joonas as a second heat leader. -
Four. Morris, Zengi, Summers and Batchelor. Lindgren wouldn't be a bad shout as a guest for Hans. Easy away win even with no reserves.

Because we can't afford it? Riders aren't interested? Because it's a worthless competition we won't win anyway? All of the above? -

That's clinched it for me. I'll save the cash and watch on the box if it's on. Shame as I've only missed a couple away this year but with a poor guest, the fact that we generally perform dreadfully at Saddlebow Rd, it's time and money that doesn't need wasting. -
That's because he isn't the right signing for Coventry. Swindon have three riders all averaging more than the Bees number one and in Zengi a number 4 that is better than all of our riders except Harris. We need to think a lot bigger than Summers if we are to keep our slim hopes alive. I'll predict 35-55 for Friday.

Polish Promotion/relegation Sunday 4th October

Anyone got a non choppy stream? I've tried about a dozen and they're all crap. -
And if Poole have secured top spot by then, even under pre playoff rules, it would be, yep you've guessed it, another meaningless meeting! How someone that has failed to raise a single valid reason why the old rules are better than the new ones can bang on so much is beyond me!

Elite League 2016 - What Is Required?
CB252 replied to 1 valve's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You can solve some problems by going back to the 1997 EL format of 6 man teams. That's one less guest that teams need to find on any given night! If an EL is to be retained then a couple of midweek nights is a must. Problem with that is that established weekend tracks like Coventry would go out of business in a matter of weeks as people won't watch midweek speedway. Two regional PL standard divisions could be the only viable option. Again, 6 man teams to be considered to alleviate rider availability issues. -
And it's this pathetic attitude that has seen this crook preside over some of the worst years in British Speedway history! As if a stadium, which is primarily for greyhounds let's remember, is going to be built in 5 months! A greyhound stadium requires fully licensed bar and restaurant so that people can watch in comfort. You can't just knock something up like Leicester (as suitable as it is for speedway) and hope that people will turn up to the dogs.
-
Yep. Doesn't make much difference tbf. Haven't got a cat in hells chance of beating them anyway. An King would have missed last night anyhow.

Not if a Coventry fixture is re-arranged on a date that Ippo were already riding. Same for all the others as well I presume.

Andersen missing next week as well against Swindon. Will he actually do a meeting as a second string? -

Walasek is no longer in Falubaz declared line up for tomorrow night so presume he'll be at Brandon weather permitting. -

The Danish fixture isn't a rearranged fixture. It was logged at the start of the season. The Bees fixture is a rearrangement of a fixture postponed on Good Friday. -
It annoys the crap out of everyone until someone removes it from the turntable, snaps it in half and chucks it in the bin? You don't like the Playoffs, we get it. Fact is they have very little impact upon how many meetings during the course of the season are rendered meaningless. In the old days of a 17 team British League I'd wager that 12 teams season was effectively over by the end of June as they couldn't realistically top the table. I don't actually mind which format is in use as I've always attended regardless.
-
Yawn, it probably would as Swindon would still have been keen to get Ward in to the team to boost interest. After all, Lakeside were after him and they couldn't really make the Playoffs. Under your preferred format all teams bar Cov and Poole would now be average trimming for next year as they have nothing to ride for. There's pros and cons for the old format and the current, but bleating on like a stuck record is pointless.
-
Exactly, which is why Swindon had to re declare back under the 34 pt limit for the top 5 as Ward couldn't be introduced as a like for like replacement as his ave was half a point higher than Miedzinski. Hence Howarth had to be released as well and Swindon rebuilt using these aves. Ward 8.70, Morris 7.96, Batch 6.92, Zengi 5.62 and Krcmar 4.50 which totals 33.70. The fact remains that if Batchelor had been above 7 at the time of the re declaration Ward could not have been accommodated unless either Batch or Morris was dropped.
-
Yep Swindon will batter us. They have four heat leaders and we have one and a half.

Falubaz are riding in a meeting that's been in the list since the start of the season so Walasek will be riding for them. Andersen and Doyle both potentially have Danish League conflicts as well. -

Going to be another Lions select with Walasek, Masters and the reserves missing. Perhaps Coventry should let King ride in the LCSF at Edinburgh for Ipswich to even things up a bit? -
Save Coventry Speedway - Meeting July 23
CB252 replied to speedybee's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Bit of a daft question. The owners of the stadium clearly see that it has a limited future and aren't willing to spend a penny on the venue. They're hardly going to employ staff to open up the stadium on a Thursday night to facilitate a meeting for a group of people opposed to their intentions for the land!
