  1. The prophet of doom. I can read AJ like a book. And not a very good book.
  2. Lol, if I was seeking attention I wouldn't be posting on a forum about a farcical sport that's followed by one man and his dog would I? As it appeared that this was originally Len Silvers rumour, all it proves is that he knows nothing! Was any comment made about Kent? Could they join the EL and take us up to a whopping 9 teams?
  3. For no other reason other than the fact that he's AJ! Speaking from numerous years experience of him as a Coventry fan. I'm sure he'll turn up.
  4. For clarification, we should add that they dealt it to themselves!
  5. Nicholls is about the only other rider that puts the same level of commitment and desire into British League racing as Harris, so the best guest we could have had. Could be a close one.
  6. No, beacuse if they re-declare now in time for Tuesday, that will be before the 1 June, so he won't have completed his 28 days in the Swindon team declaration. Watt had to wait a week to resume, so the same principal should apply. More chance of the Pope turning up to ride at No 1 than dragging Miedzinski out of Poland on a cold Tuesday night in May, so it's all irrelevant anyway.
  7. Kim Nilsson will also miss this meeting. And I'd be surprised if AJ turns up.
  8. Surely Kildemand has to complete his 28 days as per Grajczonek at Poole?
  9. Not strictly true. They were the Wildcats in 1985/6.
  10. Sounds like a good idea. The natural route for Garrity, Newman, Kerr, Auty is to move up to a second string position in their respective teams next year. Putting a rule in place to insist upon a British second string at each club would be the best way of protecting one of these riders from being left out on their ear once they move out of the draft, although I can only think of one club where there would be a threat of that happening!
  11. The lead will easily be enough with Greenwood missing and Storm riding their first official home fixture of the year. Greenwood is currently the best rider in the League, but no halfway decent guests available on his poxy 2014 figure. Might as well go with R/R. Oh well it's only a tenner to get in.
  12. The best model for World Championship speedway was used between 1936 and 1994. One Sport hardly helped themselves by latching on to this insistance that everything needs to be staged over multiple rounds these days instead of a single meeting. The winners were virtually determined by the end of the second round, leaving poor old Ebsjerg with a dead meeting.
  13. I thought it was common knowledge that Lakeside are moving to Kent next year? Firday nights, running in the EL?
  14. Have to wonder what's going wrong at Leicester with riders quitting over the past couple of years. Have to assume it's Norrie after that damaging rant last night. Riders will talk to each other, so he really should button it and not air his dirty laundry in public. Anyhow, I'm told that Bridger could be the signing and, in my opinion, it's not the answer to Lions woes.
  15. How can this be so? Surely Ellis is the best tier two rider as his current ranking suggests? Unless Vatcher has fiddled the list? Surely not?!
  16. Holder ought to clean up as a second string. Who'd have thought Holder's average would drop so dramatically so as to enable a potential reshuffle around June ish?!
  17. Conveniently he's made his own clubs rider top of the list. Utter farce. Not to worry, his game of deceit has been rumbled and Sarj will be top in June.
  18. Lucky Starke is so high on the Tier 2 draft list eh, despite having about a 2 point average? Good old Vatcher. Pliancy to the Poole cause. On the payroll no doubt.
  19. Is that a joke? Were you anywhere near the pits last night. I text my bro after heat 12 saying we should make the lad skipper. He was firing the whole team up as well as doing a bl##dy good job on the track. He's great with the fans as well, always taking time to thank them for turning up. Best team man we've had in years. Laughable statement.
  20. Problem is, we've got two clubs and in less than a fortnight I'll have been to Belle Vue, Buxton, Wolves, King's Lynn and Lakeside with a trip to Sheffield chucked in for good measure! Plus home meetings! Love West Row but can't justify the cost for MDL speedway.
  21. Greenwood and Crang missing for Storm, possibly Knuckey. Looks like a Sunday afternoon in instead.
  22. Shall we attempt to steer this back in the direction of the Speedway meeting rather than the embarrassing drivel that this has descended into?
  23. But they have teams packed with GP riders in Sweden and the quality of the action is almost always absolutely atrocious. Not to mention the unrealistic costs associated with running such teams, which usually sees at least one of the Swedish clubs get into financial bother during the year. Even at it's height, the BL had riders of varying degrees of quality in the team, but the action was better. We never had one team tracking a top five of Nielsen, Gundersen, Knudsen, Wigg and Tatum, which is the equivalent of Vetlandas recent top 5s. If anything, the current heat format in the EL ensures that riders of a similar standard are in the same heats, so it should help the racing, and indeed does on other tracks. Monmore was good on Monday, this one wasn't.
  24. Dreadful meeting (Heat 15 apart) on the most over rated track in the world. A few drag races down the back straight but little more to ponder over. Where the Bees didn't deserve anything on Monday, I felt we did tonight, so it probably evened itself out. But for a moment of brain fade from Robbo, an EF from JK and Hans forgetting to turn up, we might have pinched a point. Poor crowd and one might think that it has something to do with the constant delays and ar$ing about that seem to go on at Saddlebow whenever I seem to be there. Dreadful all four back call in Heat 11 as well. Iversen wiped our pair out. Refs really have been a shambles so far this year.
  25. Oh well, good luck to the lad. Didn't Andy Mountain used to ride at Lynn?
