  1. You can have him next year. To be fair, if Swindon had paid him last time he was there, he'd probably still be a Robin anyhow.
  2. I expressed concern over Wolves frailties, ironically after they beat the Bees in the A fixture at Monmore. They got off to a reasonable start with PK making hay at second string, but were always going to struggle once he acquired heat leader status, given the total absence of anyone (other than Lindgren supposedly!!) suited to a heat leader berth. I fear they will finish bottom as there's little they an do to alter the team and make it any better. Also, Leicester will lose less of their remaining home meetings than Wolves.
  3. You'd probably lose your money then. In his last three EL meetings Harris has passed Zagar in a last heat decider at BV, nursed JK home for a 5-1 in a last heat decider at Brandon and scored at maximum at Wolves in a meeting in which Coventry tallied a 5-1 in each of his 5 rides. Lambert meanwhile has had a couple of iffy PL meetings and one good ride last night. No doubt he's the real deal but pointless using him as another weapon with which to attack Harris.
  4. Cracking meeting with some good hard racing. Grajczonek was slamming the door shut in virtually every race. He's lucky old man Hancock wasn't there otherwise he'd have been running after him and diving at him for most of the night!
  5. What night are BV planning on riding on at the new place. Thought they wanted a return to weekend speedway?
  6. This is a League wide problem. The meeting at Poole last Wednesday was like pulling teeth and didn't finish til nearly 10. Not much can be done about on track incidents but it is possible to recover time in these instances. The last half a dozen heats at Vue on Monday were rattled off impressively after a few delays earlier in the night. Polish league seems to run effortlessly when you watch the TV meetings so presume they utilise a race director to keep things moving. A League wide directive to improve the running of meetings would be a good start. A meeting starting at 7.30 should be done by 9.15.
  7. Looks a tough line up to me. I'd be surprised if Harris gave up the opportunity to practice for a qualifier because, as always, it's his best route back in.
  8. In GP qualifier the next day, as is Fricke. Presume practice on Friday or early Saturday?
  9. Not a bad match at all. Look forward to the return on Friday when Bees (minus Harris) do battle with Aces (minus Cook, Fricke and Worrall). Shoud be a laugh! On second thoughts Vue own Worrall so he should be there!
  10. Spoke to Havvy. Broken ribs and a possible punctured lung for Sarjeant. Moribund meeting that took an eternity to run. Classless home fans, moronic start marshall and the expected thrashing. Taxi for Andersen. Would prefer a junior in the side than somebody who can't be bothered.
  11. And deservedly so. The kid is a liability and a cretin, wading into an issue that was none of his business. Amazing some of the hypocrisy on here. People that thought Pawlicki was hard done by when he clattered the Russian god knows how many times, think Pedersen was out of line with his move. The fans in this sport are now as bad as the riders, forming opinions based solely on who is in the monster energy botty crew. I blame Monster Joe and his accolites for all this crap.
  12. 100% correct. Massive over reaction from the Norman Wisdom lookalike. He ran pretty fast for an old man to be fair but it was pretty embarrassing. Haven't cringed so much since Tatum flipped his lid at Olly Allen live on Sky all those years ago.
  13. Could do with some confirmation on this as I can cancel my day off and go to Brum V Storm, which will no doubt be a much better meeting anyway.
  14. Yet Newman crashes in every meeting I ever see him ride (EL or PL) and seems to spend half his life injured!
  15. I still think that riding a test match in the UK on one of our faster tracks against strong opposition with no easy rides would help the likes of King immeasurably. That, and the added benefit of riding together as a nation before the World Cup. Team GB speedway needs to be about more than just two matches a year in the SWC.
  16. The Poles have also held a couple of tests against select sides this year. They take it seriously as a team and thus reap the benefits. Organise a series, try and find a sponsor (God forbid), promote it (God forbid) and charge a reasonable price to get in.
  17. I've given up asking why we can't have test matches anymore. We moan that riders like King don't have any international experience, but fail to arrange any internationals to assist them! This when we have all the top Aussies, and most of the Danes, based in the UK. The Danes rode in a test match in Poland recently.
  18. So some good could come out of this farce after all. Weekly PL speedway? Yes please.
  19. I understand where you're coming from, but just because of a couple of recent offers you'd think that Coventry were the first team to ever charge full price for a TV meeting! However you want to dress it up, Bees v Poole, Poole v Bees is the biggest meeting of the season, nowt to do with ambition. If this were a meeting against Lakeside I would have expected an offer to try and make it semi appealing to the floating fan.
  20. That's the spirit. You can spend plenty of time in your armchair when we've closed down because people refuse to pay full price for the biggest meeting of the season.
  21. The singer was easily the highlight of the night. His performance was quite good and he was quite funny whilst he was talking. Unlike the embarrassment of an announcer that had me cringing throughout. We'll never lose the sad anorak tag with people like him on the mic.
  22. Poole should only be able to use a junior in this one if Janowski is missing it for a challenge.
  23. Decided to go to this late on after the Lendava fiasco. Big mistake. Wolves dreadful, Karlsson and Garrity apart. Heat one excellent, the other 14 poor. That was 17 quid that would have been better off staying in my pocket!
  24. Can't believe some are still wittering on about the Bees being favourites and chucking this away. Poole are still comfortable favourites for the title. Swindon are a good side with a superb top 5 (especially at Blunsdon) and are certs for the Playoffs, as they were before the season started. If they get the number one position sorted they'll kick on from here. I think we did well to get a point to be honest as I think that was one of our worst collective efforts of the season, probably only rivalled by the lacklustre performance at Monmore Green.
  25. It is anticipated that he will 'move past it' at approximately 00:01 on June 28th!
