Swindon V Coventry Select Thur 4th Sep

I believe the Bees team includes Fricke, Thomas Jorgensen and R/R. Not exactly appealing, but might make one last trip to the Abbey for old times sake. -

Can we have some guest news for this please so I can decide whether I'm bothering or not. -
Nobody expected racing to continue after the accident but as others have said, stop using the word curfew. Or at least advise the paying public (the few that are left) that the curfew is self imposed. The stock cars regularly proceed well past 11. Make swift decisions on how you're going to reimburse the public for paying for two meetings but only watching one. Also ask yourself why we were only on Heat 5 of the second meeting at 10 o clock. The only word to describe that is 'shambles'. A lot of the blame for that would appear to lay at the feet of the referee, who seems to have gone senile in recent weeks. The delay between the two meetings was at least twice the length it needed to be. We're seriously going to try this again next Friday with a 7.30 start? I wouldn't bother travelling if I were an Eastbourne rider or fan that's for sure.

Ha ha, I was moaning more about the NL shambles I've just attended where the mythical and fictitious curfew was wheeled out as an excuse for abandoning the meeting. Shame about Joonas but the season was long gone anyhow.
-
All going wrong for us. Another NL shambles this evening and Kylmakorpi now crocked with a feeble average from which to select a guest.
-
Most likely. Mick did say that he'd tried to get decent riders to replace Robbo, but alas we've ended up with Howarth.
-
At least we can stop dreaming of a decent signing now I suppose.

Can only apologise on behalf of Coventry fans. The club is an absolute embarrassment at present. This lot manage to oversee more shambles during the course of a weekend than the Ochiltrees managed in 60+ years! -

No rain for 3 hours and we're now told it's off. An absolute PR disaster of a weekend for the club. They are an utter shambles. The relief when this is all over will be immense. -

Phoned the stadium and they say it's on but possibly delayed start. Someone else has told me it will start at 5. The club showing their tremendous PR skills once again with the website and social media updates. Absolutely pathetic and proving why no one goes and why the Storm are on the verge of folding. Clueless. -

Pouring a couple of miles from track. Don't know what forecast our club were looking at but this is exactly as predicted. -
No, because to fit AJ in you'd have to drop Harris (7.09) or Kylmakorpi (7.00). Basically Hans woeful season has undermined the integrity of the whole top 5 as you're now stuck with King and JK at 3 and 5 riding in Heats that they are completely incapable of scoring in.
-
Realistically you'd need to change Robbo, King and Andersen to salvage anything from the season. That's why it's probably not worth doing anything.

Battled hard against the best top five in the league. The dithering Dane would have fared no better.

King's Lynn V Swindon 9th Sept 19.45
CB252 replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Swindon could easily finish top. A trip to Poole with Janowski likely to be out, followed by a trip to Lynn with no Iversen. A certain 4 points at Cov and a couple of home 60-30 matches to come. -
Yep, at least we can save the admission money though. Shame as I won't get one final visit to Blunsdon now.
-
Had we been at full strength it would have been 40-50. Walasek did better than the dire Dane would have done.
-
As someone said after the Poole fiasco, there will actually be a huge sense of relief when the 'stadium closed' signs go up. A shambles of a day on and off the track as expected. Judging by the reaction of the few Bees fans there I think most of us are past caring. Honest question, do those of you who said this would be close actually follow speedway, or were you just patronising us Bees fans?!
-
You're becoming a yawn a minute lately with the anti Coventry rhetoric. Is retirement really that boring? When Jason has stood trial accused of rape, fled cops while doped up to the eyeballs and failed an alcohol test we'll start questioning his grey matter.
-
He needs to worry more about Swindon than our ailing wreck of a team.
-
I confirmed that at lunch time when I read the Star! Havvy obviously read his copy later than me.
-
It's just a shame Woffinden has reverted to type. Won a few people over in 2013 when he appeared to grow up a bit after his horrendous social media spat with David Howe the year before, in which he showed total disrespect for Howe as a fellow rider. He's started acting the goat again now though, with the ego getting as big as the holes in his ears.

Boo hoo, Garrity shouting at a couple of toothless simpletons on the first bend at Saddlebore Road. Hardly the end of the world. -
Doubt he'll be any worse than the utterly useless Andersen. Robins really ought to be hitting 50 plus in this one if it's on.
