  1. Snap. If Mick Horton is at BP next year it will be as the promotor of the Leicester Lions (as it should be). Coventry fans will not support the club at another track. Most have stopped going already in preparation for the inevitable.
  2. Bit sad. You'll have to find another hobby next year! :-) Decent effort, better than expected but nothing to write home about. The team is what it is. Depressing journey home. One more trip to Wolves remaining. Another meeting closer to extinction.
  3. Yes I know, not knocking the Polish system. Just using as an example that the other Leagues also have situations where a good rider can end up at reserve, but few people moan about it. To be fair, Zmarzlik only gets one banked win from it anyway as there's only one reserve race in Ekstraliga. It's good for Stal though as he can take some of the utterly woeful MJJs rides!
  4. Also, Zmarzlik is still in reserve for Stal despite being top of the Ekstraliga averages.
  5. Roynon isn't a guest as he's in the Bees declared 1-9, so must use his own average which puts him at reserve. 60-30
  6. Of course Lambert is ahead. That's not GBs problem. Lambert and Woffinden are certain starters. It's who the hell we've got to put with them that's the issue. Based on today, Nicholls, Harris, King, Cook will struggle to keep pace with top nations. KK rode it better than anyone but he won't even make the Polish side.
  7. To replace Woryna presumably? Who do you think was available that would have made the team better and more entertaining to watch for those of us that attend?
  8. Let's be honest, none of the Brits put themselves in the shop window today. It's a good race track and all of our boys bar woffinden will be eaten alive in World Cup competition.
  9. Shame we didn't get a point but that was absolutely superb. Whoever designed the track should be knighted. Makes me even sadder at the Bees impending doom.
  10. Pot and kettle. You're possibly the most boring poster to ever grace the BSF.
  11. Are you a halfwit? You do understand that riders that ride in second string and reserve positions have inflated averages don't you? Kyle Newman has a better average than Chris Harris in the speedway star, but he wouldn't be a very good guest for him riding at number 5 would he? I understand you despise KK, but most people have conceded that Lindgren is a more than adequate guest in this instance, however looking at straight stats from this season alone isn't a good guide. Kk has done fine this year. If Lindgren fails to score at least 11, he won't have done an adequate job covering.
  12. Track sharing is short term and financial suidice. Prolongs the inevitable at great expense. Only a lunatic would pursue it.
  13. Great, so we have to replace the SEC challenge champion and former world no 2 with a guy who finished 12th out of 16 and couldn't even qualify! Massively weakens us! On a serious note, Lindgren seems to have been involved in an incident with Artem Laguta in the last heat, so hope he's ok to guest.
  14. Scratch that, he rode in Poland today and scored 8 points.
  15. Olsen was allocated to Hull (who did have a team in 76!) under the old rider control system. He refused to ride for them, insisting he wouldn't ride in Britain if he couldn't ride for the Bees. The CO ended up meeting with Ole and Ian Thomas and thrashing something out and Hull were compensated without Ole ever turning a wheel for them.
  16. Don't honestly think that we can expect Woryna to ride in this meeting either given the events of last Sunday.
  17. Hopefully Lindgren can be tempted. Chances are he's planned a couple of days at home after riding in SEC tomorrow afternoon before heading to Poland on Sunday. Might not be that simple to simply book him.
  18. Yep seen it time and time again. The vandalism and mysterious fires will start and the whole place will fall into such a state that they'll be begging them to build on it before long. What can you do though? Look at the Cradley owners. They just dug their heels in and rode it out.
  19. He said that the stadium is definitely going at the end of the year. There is no flexibility on that judging by his words.
  20. Did I miss the positives in the article. ACV rejected, new stadium plans rejected. Coupled with Heavers interview on Premier Sports a couple of weeks back there's not much to be cheery about.
  21. He'd get less people there running on an off night with Kk riding!
  22. Kk is in the SEC challenge on Thursday afternoon and Croatia on Saturday so makes no sense to come to Coventry on Friday. Danny is riding for the Bees as confirmed by himself at Lakeside. Guest choices limited so could be looking at RR. Andersen, Lindgren and JK all in SEC challenge as well so doubt they'll fancy the trip back to the UK.
  23. KK is in the SEC challenge on Thursday so wouldn't be able to do Lynn. He's also missing for the Bees on Friday as he's in the GP qualifier at Gorican on Saturday.
  24. Yep, seen them all. I'm a hundred years old! Second best rider of the professional era then behind Mauger. We're talking about riders that could churn out machine like brilliance at both club and international level. Probably a debate for another thread though.
